Maybe the wrong topic but I really question the wisdom of having the World Cup (both) start in the first weeks of the season.
Not only does it clash with every club cup in the game (injuries) but, and this is the really stupid bit, NT managers (especially if they're new) have literally 6 days to prepare after the election and are then lame ducks 3 weeks later when they get knocked out. It's happened in England this season with the U-21's where Piotr doesn't really want the job anymore after 3 games, because what's the point?

I'm the new Belgian U21 coach and had 1 friendly before the World Cup started.
It's not ideal indeed :-)
