How does the mail alert work anyway? I do not see something different!

Should work like that alert in firesokker. Checks every minute if you have new sk-mail. And if yes, then a small firefox popup popups at the tight bottom ;-).
I didnt test it too much thou ;-). Just twice as i am not using Firefox ;-).

All the new things you add last time didn't work for me...

Yes, it does not. Mailbox works now fine, so there is no reason to leave the link there. Imho
