Trophy "La Oca de Oro" ("The Golden Goose")
The Real Oca F.C. congratulates of announcing the organization of the VI Edition of its prestigious trophy "La Oca de Oro" ("The Golden Goose")
This time, and to extend the participation across all the frontiers, this will be its second international edition, open to teams from all around the World.
The requisites and objectives will be, thoug, the same ones than in previous editions:
1. Preferency will be given to the teams which play, whenever possible, with 2 different squads (one for official matches and another for friendlies -which is the one which would participate in the tourney-), preferably the ones which tarin 22 players or more.
Reason: To offer a regular championship for our second teams (B-teams), juniors and trainables, where the can measure versus players of similar level, avoiding to be smashed by rivals of superior quelity who repeat league and friendly, apart from minimizing the possibility of unwanted injuries due to high differences in levels.
(Obviously, injured or red-carded first team's players could play without problem in the place of their substitute if the missed the League match, so they do not lose their training -this is of common sense-).
2. Preferably, teams founded around July, 2006, or not very far from that date. Better if the participants had promoted at least once.
Reason: To guarantee, as far as possible, that the teams had had similar sport and economical oportunities, and so to benefit from it, and also to be able to bring similan number of fans which give not advantage in the stadium assistances to some teams above others. Btw, that is the founding date of the Real Oca F.C. :)
3. Will of having fun, experiment and play balanced matches (at least, the most possible).
Reason: The competition's objective is no to win at all costs, but to serve as training for our juniors and trainables, to see how well they fare versus players of thieir same level, and to observe their evolution vs other players who could in the future to be their rivals with the first team.
It would be welcome (althoug not mandatory) also some knowledge in English, to be able to comment things in the forum and understanding ourselves (thoug unfortunately I doubt the percentage of participation in the forum of the league to be higher than in normal forums).
Tournament data:
- It will start (first match) on Wednesday, July 23th (so it will be possible to play a friendly this Wednesday 16th).
- The competition will be activated in the moment that there be 8 teams (at the momente there are 4 teams, which repeat from the previous edition).
- The teams will be choosen attending to the requisites (the ones which more fullfill, the first, and so on).
- It will be to one round (due to the dates, and to play more matches).
- 8 teams (including the host) will participate, so 7 matches will be played.
- It will end in the 13th week. This will leave the weeks 14th and 15th for all those who possibly want to play the NSW with their country. In the hipotethical case of not having enough teams, the start could be delayed a week, but week 15th would always free.
So that's all. Whoever can be REALLY interested in participate and think to fullfill (or be near) the requisites, he can send me an sk-mail, or write in the thread in the forum of the league, to have him in consideration (thoug election will be determined as possible by the requisites).
