Imo we should think of solutions to make NT interesting again.
Any ideas? I have none to be honest and there is definitely a decline of interest going on...almost no candidates and talks on Polish forum wybory. My candidature topic once went on to 69 pages, now it's 14 though almost half of it is made by my posts with one other user...
I'm also thinking at this...
exluding Greg's involvement with something new, there should be some solutions...
some time ago, in Romania, some score contests worked pretty fine, there was interess...
interacting with the community, as brazilian coach did? (he chose some players, made a poll and community decides the first 11)
plus prizes? (maybe we can take some free ones from greg, to offer for the winner of somekind of a NT contest?)

NT interests managers less and less cause sokker interest people less and less.
We use to have 180 posts a day on Israeli forums, I used to get back from work and it took me an hour to read and comment about what went on in Israel community that day.
Though with new features coming in maybe new blood will come as well(Still needs tutorial and more money for new users to make it happen)

Indeed... I sent a sk-mail to all 270 israeli users and NONE joined NT association, even if there was a link there, towards it... and in association are like 50 members...
it's also this economical situation, in real world, people don't care about a game, there are more important problems...

Economy has nothing to do with it, most users are kids.
I always try to make some betting competitions, voting for players, competitions etc. We had really great stuff some time ago in Poland, REALLY great. Like A series of riddles - answer to every riddle gave you a name of another forum where you were able to find another riddle, thus coming to the last riddle and winning the competition if you were the first. We had a couple of users singing a song together[everyone recorded his part and sent it to the NT coach who mixed it together] and many more, like sokker knowledge quizes. But now there are almost no people interested in taking part in such things...

Global interest is lower because everything has been said already. There are no new users that are still curious. New features won't bring in new blood. I think the problem is bigger. I don't really how other games are doing, but maybe this genre of games is slowly fading away?
I'd like the national squads reduced to 25, 30 players maximum. I think by having them so large it makes it more difficult to track who's in the squad. Also by making them more exclusive, you make having a national player more important.
I'd also like to switch the national format to a 3 season run and fill the 3rd season with a different competition, maybe a league or a straight knockout tournament. Not only does it break up the repetetive cycle of qualify/season of friendlies, then world cup, but it makes it more special because it's a once a year thing.
Also the world cup page, layout and just general look needs overhauling. It's a pain in the arse having to look through every group individually. Can we not have them all on one page, add the flags by the names, draw the world cup scheduel at the beggining so people can actually see the path they would take.
Oh and stop treating national players like crap and release them from dead clubs. I said ages ago that it damages the entire credibility of having national teams.

I will give some ideas.
2x in a row we didnt qualify for world cup. We have the same managers on Nt teams over and over again, lie a manager rotation plan, same approach, no change.
and we are going to be worst in the future i`m afraid.
