I believe that the greatest advantage of the Champions Cup is that allows you to almost full train 33 players in Pace, or 15 players in other skills for field players (except striker).
That has no price! but you should plan accordingly to have a strong 2nd team (to play league, because Cup early stages can be played with any player). The problem is that this planification usually goes against the objective of preparing a strong first team to play the Champions.

impossible to do
I play it almost every season and I have 15 players on pace training, not near 33
It is only 7 rounds and if you don't have best team it is 3 rounds, so if I bought 11 great players who already have unearthly pace, what can I do with this extra 3 training? They are not near to jump to divine, and to have 22 great players is almost impossible if you want to win league and CC
I think that I play biggest number of CC games and I didn't use that extra training, but I get little bit like 1.5-2 mil euro for playing in CC per season, and this is just enough to pay some extra I have to pay for having stronger team and longer bench than other teams

If you have 33 players and they havent got superdivine pace, then they train... no matter what you expeculate or calculate regarding pops.
I believe pace is not the greatest training if you play Champions (I prefare to train my whole first team in, for example technique or defender) but it can be done.
I didnt train Pace, but I played 4 rounds in Champions, and lost my first 3 league matches and draw the fourth one because of training reasons. Since my fifth match in league I never lost again and now I am 3 points behind the leader.

So I have 22 players on training before start CC and I have 50 mil euro on account
You think that if I buy 11 great players with age of 28 and train them for 3,4 weeks and then sell them is advantage? I'm sure that I would lost at least 5 mil euro on this training, cause they won't pop and they are few weeks older plus tax
And you have luck in league where all teams are similar strength and no one can make over 70....in my league there is 3 teams on 73-75 and rest is under 68, so this 3 teams won't loose much point in season from rest and 11 points advantage is just to much, even 6 like I lost in first 3 rounds is probably too much to catch

pancho, extra training is worthless! You can't play B-team in league and C-team in cup. What would happen if you lose 1 game! Fan mood -2 or -3 and the income of next games would be much lower. If you do it clever you can train 1 or 2 players more but this are old players not young trainees!
I didnt train Pace, but I played 4 rounds in Champions, and lost my first 3 league matches and draw the fourth one because of training reasons.
On one hand you win some trainings, on the other you lose a lot of money. Lower income from home games because of low fan mood + low income from sponsors because of low fan mood. You don't really profit i think!

Tell you what I did... perhaps its not the best approach, but I think it can work.
If you plan to play 4 or 5 Champions Cup rounds, then we can expect that all of your players are very complete ones (so your defenders must have tech, playmaking and passing, your mids must have defender and perhaps striker skill, and your strikers must have defender and maybe playmaking). If that is the case, then all your field players would be "trainable" for example in tech or defender skill.
So lets suppose you have a great A-Team, and 5 other first class players (its difficult but not impossible).
In that case, what I would do (and what I did) is to play champions training technique for DEF (5 players). Then played league with the other 5 players that didnt play DEF in Champions match, but now playing with DEF order, and the other orders were taken by the 5 first class subs. This should be a strong B-Team.
And Cup game with the 5 subs with DEF order and five 17 or 18 years old players (that may pop easily because of general training). So this should be also a strong C-Team at least for the first 4 or 5 rounds of National Cup.
So that way you train 15 players in technique while giving general training to 5 other yourgsters.
I think its a good approach and its not so difficult to organize such an squeme.
You may think that your first team players are old and dont deserve to be trained because they are 30 or 31 years old... but this season I made two 30 yo players pop in technique. Yes... sure its luck, but even if they dont pop you extend the usefulness of their career by giving them training (perhaps they dont loose their current skill level for a long time because of that training).
The only thing I am sorry is for playing so weak in the National Cup match... I should have been more cautious. But the league matches I lost were tragedies... lost the first 2 by one goal... and one of them in the last minute. I would play them again with the same players if I could.
.
The squeme would be somthing like this:
Training Tech for DEF
5 DEFS - 4 MIDS - 1 ATT (Champions game: first team defenders train)
............./......................
.........../........................
5 DEFS - 5 SUBS (League game: other 5 first team players train as defenders)
............./......................
.........../........................
5 DEFS - 5 YOUNGSTERS (Cup game: 5 first class subs train as defenders)
.

It's the Vilpu's team ! :-p... How many teams in SK World could have such type of team ?? oO
Well, it's possible but who has young world class player + 5 players who are good enough to win league games? I trained 13 players this season but player No. 11 was 31yo, No. 12 32yo and No. 13 was 33yo so there's absolutely no financial profit at the end (maybe form?!)
You lost 2 league games. I'm sure the fan mood drop cost you much more than you profit from the additional training!

The question is also what to do with the 5 trainees after you're out of the CC. They cannot be trained for 10-12 weeks a season, what makes the additional training effect pretty useless due to 'ageing effects'. Selling them is an option, but will cost you 5%, which probably is more than they have gained in value in that few weeks.
