I watched the whole game now .... 2D. Seems to be pretty slow.
Was a bit lucky in regular time, you had "better" chances. You were a bit lucky in overtime, I had better chances. Penalties: pain in the ass.
Backpasses were at times nonsense, but mostly because everyone was covered tightly. I don't like the fact that the defenders now move to the free strikers/wingers, this reduces the number of chances generated, makes wingers less effective, but maybe that was the goal. Before the changes, people were complaining that the winger - header combination was too effective as compared the one on one situation. In addition, people were complaining about passes from defenders over half of the field, haven't seen them any more.
Normaly you score about 20-30% with a divine striker against a superdivine GK, so 0 out of 3 or 4 in regular time is not completely out of the range. My divine striker missing the empty goal: this looks quite stupid.
Penalties: no comment.

Give them a chance, not all changes are bad, however it is totally unacceptable to introduce major changes to the ME without extensively testing this before and to try to finetune this in the running system. I would probably change it back to the old system, improve and test the new system this season and introduce the new system again next season. And it looks like much more people need to get involved in the beta testing.

i think we understand eachother now. after the first message i had a feeling you thought i was complaining about the fact you won, which wasn't my intention

i was just saying that i can't believe such huge changes in match engine were introduced and that those changes really weren't the ones that improved the game but rather completely ruined it.
and ofcourse the fact we are being lab guinea pigs here and in fact being beta testers for gregs new idea of match engine on something that is very important (cup and champions cup matches)

my team was really optimized for this and next season and when something like this happens i can only say i'm really disappointed. i would much prefer to have some playable engine and you kicking my ass with 5-0, cause then i'd atleast know that i lost due to something i did wrong and i'd try to improve. after our match yesterday i have no idea what happened there or what i did wrong. feels like someone else set up my tactics and played my match and i was only the observer of how someone screwed me over big time :(

Havent see anything wrong in my lost at the CC match,
though I saw too many at my U21 match yesterday :(((
(both with the 3D viewer)

These are the same tactics that bought exciting & intersting matches a week ago.

Greg should really take a step back and listen to the views of his paying customers rather than assuming he always knows best.

I totally agree.. it has happened in my matches as well. This is ridiculous... I was hoping the ME would be better for today unless the changes announced will take place on Sunday.
