SkUnk README - NOT WORKING (more or less the same as in this post but without that long description; You have to save it on disk and open in browser; I dont know why it is rendered properly)



I have recorded short movies presenting features mentioned above. You can admire the effects by clicking on links below.

By the way, SkUnk contains a file with phrases to translate and built-in support for internationalization. You just need to translate some things from this file.

- Automatic extension update when new version is released (if enabled in browser; not available for Google Chrome on Windows).

All these information below might be a bit outdated
Download SkUnk for:
* Opera with Presto (10.x - 12.x)
* Opera with Webkit/Blink (15+)
* Firefox
* Chrome for Linux (skunk.crx)
* Chrome for Windows (skunk.zip)
these are link to newest version, for version 2015.003 (before some serious reworks for Firefox check this post)

Installation guides:
* Opera with Presto (10.x - 12.17)
1. Download SkUnk for Opera with Presto (skunk.oex) from links above.
2. Open it (.oex) with Opera (usually pressing enter is enough, but if it won't work press RMB on file and select Open with and then select Opera).
3. Click Install.

* Google Chrome Linux
1. Download SkUnk for Chrome on Linux (skunk.crx) from links above.
2. Open directory containing skunk.crx
3. Open Chrome and in URL bar write 'chrome://extensions' and press enter key.
4. Drag the extension file (skunk.crx) and drop it on opened Chrome page (the chrome://extensions page).
5. Click Install/Ok/Yes/Add or whatever will be there.

* Google Chrome Windows
1. Download SkUnk for Chrome on Windows (skunk.zip) from links above.
2. Unzip skunk.zip to some directory You chose
3. Open Chrome and in URL bar write 'chrome://extensions' and press enter key.
4. Check Developer mode.
5. Click "Load unpacked extension..."
6. Point to directory You unzipped skunk.zip in step 2.
CAUTION: Chrome will not update the extension automatically. You need to do it manually and to do it properly You need downoad newest skunk.zip and replace files in SkUnk directory with its content (do not create new direcotry because You will lose all saved SkUnk options). Next go to chrome://extensions and click "Reload" in SkUnk section (version should be raised).

* Mozilla Firefox (>=4.x)
1. Download SkUnk for Mozilla Firefox (skunk.xpi) from links above.
2. Try to open skunk.xpi with Firefox (click on file using right mouse button, choose open with and choose Firefox from the list). If it works then You can skip steps 3-5.
3. Start Firefox and go to addons page (go to Tools -> Add-ons or write "about:addons" in URL bar or press CTRL+SHIFT+A) and select Extensions tab (puzzle icon)
4. Find gear icon in upper-right corner and press it, then select "Install add-on from file".
5. Point to skunk.xpi file You downloaded in step 1.
6. Wait a moment and click Install.

* Opera with Webkit (>=15)
1. Download SkUnk for Opera with Webkit (skunk.crx) from links above.
2. Open directory containing skunk.crx
3. Open Opera and in URL bar write 'opera://extensions' and press enter key or via menu Opera -> Extensions or press CTRL+SHIFT+E.
4. Drag the extension file (skunk.crx) and drop it on opened Opera page (the opera://extensions page).
5. Click Install/Ok/Yes or whatever will be there.

In some cases browser restart may be needed (Firefox probably) or enabling the freshly installed extension.
AFTER EXTENSION INSTALLATION OPEN ITS PREFERENCES, SET WHATEVER YOU WANT (ESPECIALLY SET TEAM ID) AND SAVE AFTER THAT!!!

Yeah.... i never got beyond first two chapters, which says nothing of the addon´s abilities..

I found something on firefox tools but I added my team to show 2 matches but still nothing happens

Do I understand correctly SkUnk will always hide the invite menu? If so, then I won't recommend this program to anyone because Sokker needs all the promotion possible to get more new managers. Many won't use the invite menu, but that's no reason to hide it.

You do understand correctly, but I can make it optional. I have never thought that anybody can use it. It is so idiotic and cheeky.

i would like a 2-3 min video showing a quick amount of each changes. not how to activate etc..

p.s im sure its awesome work. your stuff always is. i watched a few seconds of that video. realised its really drawn out. really liked the idea of adding personal links. but it was too long on one little detail. just have 5-10 seconds showing each feature. i.e show your list of custom links. show how 2-3 of them work. show another thing for 5 seconds. show another 5 seconds.
its rule of the internet. people lose interest if there is nothing for 5 seconds. if people want to figure out how to work them then they check your videos.
most people will see my post is more than 2 lines..maybe read 1-2 and skip all of this.
EDIT: the above is also argument about the waittime before watching a game. i have watched maybe 2-3 games since that came in play

It was really hard to record every single movie in 5 minutes time limit :P
Detailed activation is only in first movie. The rest have only activation of its own features. I thought that showing how it looks without those features enabled is essential and would make it more credible after enabling the features.

It is so idiotic and cheeky.

Like so many other options, they haven't thought it through. But as I also said, it is an promotion tool and a few managers do use it and get new managers to play Sokker that way.

It would be great if you can make it optional to hide the invite.
