Subject: NEWS Sokker- big changes are coming!

I know we discussed it. But i dont remember a clear answer.
With coach retirement, will there be a change of the way that the coaches are pulled?
Imho its very important.

It is very important and it was pointed out that should be done.
However in first stage recruitment form won't be changed, the only one thing that will be is the max age of the fresh pulled coach.

Eh. Does not make sense.
Its the first stage where it will be needed.
The coaches will retire in the first stage, not in the second, so they will need to be replaced with the old system.

This is again an example of poor decisionmaking. They make a decision to piss of users so they have to spend money, but do not at least give them "a pillow" with making the pulling of coaches better.

Sometimes i think sokker changed to a test study on how much can you piss off users till they quit.

That's the result of lack of resources.
Making retirement is easy as a new module. Reworking form is more difficult cause the old code must be touched and it looks like they come to it with distance.

If your coach will retire you will need to recruit a new one with same, old rules and guaranteed that the new one won't be that old that he will retire in nearest future. That's the minimum that must be done.

Another thing which is "in progress" but no info about implementation is a pressroom tutorial.

And at what age approximately the coaches are expected to retire ?
We will be informed a little in advance when a coach retires ?
2024-07-02 13:49:38
Well that’s the whole point. They DON’T have to introduce the retirement before making the recruitment fixed. They can introduce it when they fix recruiting, together. Nobody needs the retirement change, they don’t have to introduce it half-ready.

It’s the same situation all along. Making unwanted, negative changes that aren’t even fully made/tested.

Amen!
2024-07-02 14:00:01
That's not up to me, but that should be an obvious thing to inform people soon enough.
2024-07-02 14:00:28
That's maybe the result of lack of resources. But poor decision burn ressources. So...
2024-07-02 14:03:58
Who told that new form would be "better". What even means better / fixed. Maybe easier to pull what you want but much more expensive?

I will try to push that problem so maybe they will consider reworking form at the same time.

But still Im just in direct contact with devs/owners, nothing more. They can listen what I have to say, but they don't have to.
2024-07-02 14:05:25
That is a fair point, them fixing the recruitment form can make it even worse :P
2024-07-02 14:06:57
Btw. IMO they should introduce the whole change as a bundle…

- coach retirement
- fixed recruitment
- added divine coaches

Otherwise if they divide it to 3 different changes, it will be just a money sucking scam…
2024-07-02 14:09:14
The thing the owners need to realize is that all the changes they did so far had negative impact (some can be considered neutral with providing both positive and negative impact).

They should really consider implementing something positive before pushing anything negative again.
2024-07-02 14:14:24
- coach retirement YES
- fixed recruitment YES
- added divine coaches NOT SURE

Im not sure about divine coaches, that can wait couse it can be bounded with a results of YS reform etc.
Like everything, it should be well researched.

all the changes they did so far had negative impact

Could you list it?

They should really consider implementing something positive

I hope they will start thinking about YS.
