Subject: NEWS Sokker- big changes are coming!

Yes, but only because youngsters cost no money compared to top stars in wage and top stars cannot be trained anymore like youngsters. The main problem of the game is that people prefer training over results. And as long as you don't change that perspective, there's no room for improvements on the sportive side!

Why will youngsters cost more? The price inflation will happen on older players that can compete. The extra price will go to the clubs training yes so they will have more money For next trainees.

Simple, increase wage on trainees according to sale price. Make season placement give more. All in All increase cost of training, make it possible to play For economy via results. This is the changes needed to change the situation that training is only way to make money. No need to say a 10-20 m eu player bought age 26-27 sold for 3-5 m eu age 32-33 is a major loss already for the competitive clubs

• No changes will be made to the recruitment form at this time. Nor is such a change planned in the near future.
• However, the age range of new coaches will change - previously it was 33 to 66 years, which will be replaced by 40 to 59 years.

Not only you dont fix the recruitment form, which many of us users asked for.
But you also make the low part of the age range higher by 7 years.

And who do you think will want to contract 59yo coach under these rules.
Simply make the range 30-50.

You guys just dont give a damn about users.

The median age remains the same- 49.5y

They probably narrowed the range because it would be annoying to draft a 66y and have him retire the next season.

As for retirement. Just after the age of 60 the chance of retirement is really low, I would say that by the age of 65 a coach will still rarely retire.
As for the age of recruitment starting at 40.
If you find a new coach who is 40-45 years old, he still has about 20 seasons of career ahead of him. It's really nothing to have to find a new coach once every 4-5 real years.

Retiring at 70 and leaving recruiting at 33 would result in cases where you have a coach for 8-9 real years.

The other thing about recruiting from 40 is that sometime in the future it would be great to be able to retire a player and make them a coach younger than 40.

----

As an example.

When coach has 62 yo, the chance of retire for expectations fullfilment is:
- great success: 1%
- above expectations: 2%
- goal achieved: 3%
- below expectations: 4%
- total failure: 5%

At first I didn't like coaches retiring either, but on the other hand now almost everyone has top coaches and it's boring. I have perfect coaches and it sucks to lose them, but maybe this way the game will be more interesting.

From what I understand the average career length will be around 20 years so a recruiting coach every 4-5 seasons is not a big hurdle.

It's the same for everyone and will burn money which is good.

+0.5

Was not supposed to be an update in junior's academy and this would include coaches?

It's a very meaningful change... Yesterday I tried to recruit a younger first coach. It cost me 2 M Euro and around 60 attempts and not a single coach had 5 times unearthly on the midskills. So basically a meaningful amount was wasted. It will be very hard for some teams I guess :-s...

its better to must change coaches.. imagine pep gvardiola with 100y now at man city ( 50+ titles ) :"D

I only worried about the prices now cos top teams probb. had 80+y 15 or even better 16 trainers.. and only chance for us ,,newer teams,, <3 y of playing is lottery
2024-08-22 15:55:26
it's easier for newbies to find a midlevel coach than for us to find magical coaches. So at least it's a feature that costs old manager more than new ones.
2024-08-22 15:55:59
Also sub-optimal was the fact that most of the players, who you would no longer call beginners, had practically no different, maximum or near-maximum coaching staffs at level 15-16.

After the last time when i burned tons of money trying to recruit at least magical trainer and was not able to. I wont do that again.

Instead i bought a 33yo magical, its cheaper to buy them than to recruit them.
I made my peace with not having unearthly coach. Simply not possible. Never had one, so will live with it.

Same here. I burned alot of money trying to get one. I haven't seen a single. And that's fine. Having 5x magical was not that expensive. Maybe someday having too much money I will try again, but it is not a "must have" to train players at really top level. Maybe I will have luck when one of the coaches will retire.

And that's all what Sokker is about too. How much are you willing to pay for tiny better coach, tiny better players, .... Is paying 4 M to get a coach who is 2% better a smart move? Difficult!
