Shorter players are faster, taller ones have more chances to hit a header.
that's what i found on forum but I was also told that it is also not implemented and that it is a conspiracy theory lol
I remember it implemented with the MA change in 2011/2012 -around the time I quit the first time.
I had 4/5 decide to retire, 1 of which was only 63 (64 today) :D. Hopefully this was just bad rng and not a bad implementation due to failing to meet expectations.

I mean it’s not looking great when the press room notices error when you go to read it so that’s at least one bug they have to sort out :p

Yeah, it seems the formula they implemented for the coaches did not work as expected.
Apart from that, this is what happens now in the pressroom:

Yep I wonder if it just flat out retired all coaches where teams failed to meet expectations.
This is why % chance of retiring at age groups and for each expectation should be published. So users can hold to account bugs if this is indeed a bug. I understand the want to keep things secret but it also allows sloppy coding getting away under the disguise of poor rng.
It probably isn’t the case but when you don’t publish these things I’m always going to be sceptical that it’s a coding bug rather than working as intended.
We shall see. I’m fine so long as it’s intended and not because devs can’t test properly.

When I click on news about retirement coach:

they never implemented it in the engine, they just added the height/weight/BMI to player profile + the size of player in match changed... but small player has same chance of winning a header as a tall one

because iirc height was implemented earlier than wheight with the effect on header/acceleration.
Wheight and BMI must have been implemented later, when I had already left. At least I don't remember BMI.

height existed since I remember, weight+BMI was added later, e.g 2011/12 like borkos is saying
it's certain that height and wight works as part of BMI,
it's certain that changes of the weight does not work at all,
but whether height or BMI has influence in ME it is hard to say, I am assuming it does have an effect but so small that almost unnoticeable/unimportant
however, might as well be not working at all, I just dont have/never saw any proof that height/BMI is not working in ME
