create a bot killing system, it is needed anyway for "normal" leagues. just reset the bot squad to low level after end of season.

+1 that's what I already suggested, reseting bots to make them easy to defeat and push them down season by season.

That's why league system would be far superior here. Even if the starting distribution of teams between levels would be flawed (some would be too weak for level x, some would be too good for level y) then it would sort it out by itself. Cup system will never sort itself out, you will have the same issue in every edition.

Looking and whole sokker world, I don't know for sure how any teams becoms bots during the season, I mean from 7-8k users how many, 4-5k are here longer than a season, rest of the team are just replacing other disappearing teams? You know what I mean, such league system would be too much affected by that fact.
Other thing is we also don't want a situation when some1 just forgets about country league, playing in lower division and pushing all the efforts just for international cup. That could result in situation where you have teams in low country league and at the same time in high international league. Not cool. So yes, fight every season for that.
If/when that cup becomes official game - even if your team doesn't have much chances - you could still earn better playing with stronger teams, that would be a reward.

So, I'm still thinking league system is also not ideal.

Why would you look at league average rating when considering setting team strenght for competition levels?

Just answered to someone.

Just removed last divisions of each country from formula and it looks better now just "for an eye". But waiting for data to make tests.

what is your main focus now, new users or old users? because this game as it is was good enough for more than 20k new users before
if its new users why is some cup even in discussions??? thats absolutely irrelevant to new users... they are about 2 real years away from even thinking about playing there...

and a lot of these old users would be more satisfied by more new users

if your work is slow due to lack of expertise and focus, why at least dont you focus on things that are actually Crucial?

the only possible successful revolution is fully phone compatible App... it would solve all issues... money too...

tactic creator would have to be on phone too... then loads of ppl who dont have laptops or pcs could join...

We are already working on new views for some old pages, projects are done, maybe I could share something with you on a days.
Tutorial for new users is also "almost" done.

We want to do something for new and old users aswell. Introducing international cup shouldn't be something resource-consuming, so it could be done cheap and fast.

good to know, if you get it back to at least 15k i pay for plus [;
2024-10-04 22:59:46
I wish. I mean 15k users.

Looking and whole sokker world, I don't know for sure how any teams becoms bots during the season, I mean from 7-8k users how many, 4-5k are here longer than a season, rest of the team are just replacing other disappearing teams? You know what I mean, such league system would be too much affected by that fact.

That's why I suggest resetting the bot teams not at the moment they lose user, but after end of season - this way it won't affect anyone.
Another idea is just moving other teams up to fill places taken by bots, it would be a bit problematic at times though with who to promote, so I think it's best to keep bots going down naturally (but with end of season reset to make sure the bot doesn't "block" the league due to strenght)

Other thing is we also don't want a situation when some1 just forgets about country league, playing in lower division and pushing all the efforts just for international cup. That could result in situation where you have teams in low country league and at the same time in high international league. Not cool. So yes, fight every season for that.

I get that, but that would be a pretty sucky situation - you would know that you need to be in top x of country to get a place in the "real deal" international cup, if you don't manage that you get to play in a pretty pointless 2nd/3rd/4th level cup which is kind of... not interesting to be honest, at least from my point of view (in general, not my team level/position)

and as pointed out, it would also mean many teams from weak countries get wasted early on... I mean it's a cup, 1 loss and you're out, yes? then imagine being a rating 60 team that gets rating 75-80 opponent every season and just gets destroyed in 1st round... week 1 end of fun in the new competition, thrilling...

league system would give you an extra interesting multi-country match every week, doesn't matter of your level... and with time your team would get set up at it's actual level so everyone would actually compete at their level.

games every week, against teams at similar level to yours -> getting eliminated by much stronger opponent in first or second game just to expect same thing next season / having to play with much weaker teams and winning without problem is also not fun

as for this:
Other thing is we also don't want a situation when some1 just forgets about country league, playing in lower division and pushing all the efforts just for international cup.

while I understand the problem, it is not very logical to expect something like that

a. a low league level would start in low international league
b. it would take him time to get to top league
c. to do that he would need to buy good players

now... if you already had to invest in top players and you pay them every week... what's the point of staying in a low national league? you used the money, you have the players anyway

if anything what you're afraid of could happen with the cup system... people just buying top old team for one season and winning the cup... then selling - they won the trophy. It would be actually impossible to have such one-season top teams in the league system.

So, summing up

League system:
a. better long-term in terms of deciding who plays at what level
b. games every week for everyone, not just for those who win
c. getting to know people (you'd be in same league, not just meeting once)
d. impossible to win anything just by spending money on old players just for one season
e. literally EVERYONE is taking part, no cutting out "the weakest"

bro, its gonna happen, you need to focus on whats your objective... its really easy to get distracted about what needs to be done, cause everyone is complaining about some little ME bugs and stuff like that, but like im saying once this same ME was good enough for 80k users, so what changed?

its just time, ppl dont spend as much time on PCS now, but theres hell of an amount of phones
but these days anything stupid or confusing will throw them of playing this game, its has to be fluent. Game is not simple by any means therefore, presentation has to be perfect, nd convenient

if you only wish, you dont actually believe

think strong, you already know what would work, then its much easier to chase the work and to get it done if you really want it
2024-10-04 23:12:54
I'm just "in-game" dev, so yes, I wish, cause I can only communicate with you, help with some plans, algorithms, but that's all. Decision are not mine. So yea, I wish :)
2024-10-04 23:13:56
its like a snowball... imagine, you join theres another 8 new users in your league and you just play and fight for point... id doesnt really matter that your mark is 25 or sth, you already enjoy it....

but now you join and theres 9 bots or sth, you promote, next league is the same bots again.... and your next real opposiion is way too srong for you (especially if ure new). so you just basically lose interest...
2024-10-04 23:22:38
it was so popular before, not only because of the game itself, but because PC was on a rise as a cool thing.. internet was just sprouting, so finding a game liek that on browser was cool... it aint so cool anymore, its like an old appraoch to do things...
if you wanna appeal to current 15yos and similar, you gotta have it on a phone.... its simple as that
2024-10-04 23:24:44
imagine how easily it would spread in schools if it was an app...
2024-10-04 23:27:01
They already tried that with sokker based app-game and failed, nobody downloaded it, even people playing sokker

a. it's a very competitive market, you have to invest A LOT into marketing (competition is signing deals with likes of Jose Mourinho etc.)
b. you must have a top design (not mechanics) game to catch eye
c. the game has to be made for micro transaction model
d. the game must be fast, something must be happening all the time
e. you must be able to improve fast (including by spending money)

This game is made for browsers, it's not fit for transition to modern mobile game. It's literally anti-modern games, exactly the opposite. To make it succeed you would need to invest LOTS of money and you would have to completely redo the game mechanics.

You can make an app that will look like the browser game and have the functionality but it won't succeed for new users, it will be just helpful for older users.

And the biggest problem is that they definitely don't have the funds to make the browser -> app transition of the game.

Good news - got the data to work on.
