Story of my life...I see a few similar players on the market going for a certain amount of money and I decide to sell, just to take 50-60% of that price...sometimes its just better to advertise and set up a player with an exact amount of money to avoid rip offs like this...probably got 3-4M less then he was worth

This is my observation as well, after a few weeks of studying lower end prospects. I've been taking screenshots of players I looked to buy in discord. It's super random. I just sold a low end player for nothing, when I was sure, based on past recent data, he would go for around 100k. There wasn't a single better prospect in the next couple days at that level. I realize this is a drop in the bucket for the rest of you, but I'm new and broke. After two unexpected poor sales the difference between 10k and 200k is massive for me. for 200k I could upgrade one of my current trainees.
The RNG just sucks.

The player's deadline is best sunday 18-19h sokker time. Works best for me.
Also after few weeks I will try to find someone like your sold player, I was willing to pay 10-11M for someone like this:/
