Link to current cup
*Firstly, I just want to remind every coach, this cup isn't just for the coaches, it is for all the managers in the country you coach. Without them, you wouldn't have a national team and we wouldn't have an Asian Cup, so please, post something in the forums, send your users a message or two saying how we are going. Get that interest built up. They may not respond this season, but someone next season may, or someone the season afterwards. You just never know who may stay in sokker, train a future star, watch a future match, and it can all be built on forum communication about the Asian Cup*

Season 7 of the Asian Cup will be run again this season.
Registration is closed -> Final registration by 20.07.23
The Final will be the last match before the age updates.
As always, I will attempt to make the draw a little fun depending on how many teams register.
Regardless of where you think you will finish in your group, please keep all weeks free for the tournament as it leaves open the possibility of having an additional mini competition for those who don't make it out of the group stages.
Registrations Closed

For the random part of the draw, teams will be divided in to 3 pots and separated in to A1-A5 and B1-B5. First pot will be seeds 1 and 2 for A1-B1, Second pot will be seeds 3-6 for positions A2, A3, B2, B3 and Third pot will be for seed 7-10 for positions A4, A5, B4, B5.
The draw will be as follows. You will never play your corresponding number ie A1 will not play B1 (equivalent of not playing yourself in a standard draw), A2 will not play B2. This gives some benefit to being higher seeded. The random part above is to make sure it also gives some of the lower ranked teams a chance to get a bit of luck on their side and seed a little higher than their original seeding would have been.

Finals Draw
Final Group Stage Table
People may start signing up for the U21 Asian Cup VI Edition now.
Ideally this will only be a competition for those in the AFC or Oceania.
There will be no maximum teams from these regions, and I will determine a draw based on the number that sign up.
Schedule (plan)
Final will be the last week before age updates
Ideally there will be a group stage and a finals stage, with some sort of "2nd chance" qualification such as "best second place" or similar so that 1 loss doesn't ruin your chances.
Below is a draft copy.
Week 7 - Groups phase - Round 1
Week 8 - Groups phase - Round 2
Week 9 - Groups phase - Round 3
Week 10 - Quarter Finals
Week 11 - Semi Finals
Week 12 - Final
Now because I think every country that doesn't qualify for the world cup finals should have a chance of playing in the Mini World Cup, I will do my best to create a way in which teams that make it deep in to the MWC, can still participate in this competition.
Please Add your country and U21 below, and then confirm after elections are complete

SEASON 5
Happy to try and run this depending on numbers and what happens with the mini world cup.
The schedule and format will differ depending on these things, so at present just looking for an expression of interest.
To qualify as a non guest nation, must fit in to one of the following categories.
Guests will be selected from the list so as to give teams that didn't qualify for the major tournament, or final stages of mini world cup, a second chance to experience the fun of a tournament.
FIFA AFC team
Country of Asia
Oceania
-------------------------------------------
Guest nation to fill up numbers if required
Once we know more about the schedule, whether the mini world cup will go ahead, and when age updates will actually occur (ie we don't want the final to be with a whole new batch of players), I will create a plan and share details. Ideally a small group phase followed by knockout rounds will be my goal.
This tournament will aim to commence straight after the MWC finishes.
1. Australia U21 - FIFA AFC team

The teams in the competition is as follows
Preliminary Seeding (may change by draw) / world ranking / best rating this season:
1. Australia / 35 / 51.4
2. Indonesia / 54 / 47.1
3. India / 59 / 43.3
4. New Zealand / 61 / 47.6
5. Daehan Minguk / 80 / 40.9
6. Kazakhstan / 86 / 41.5
7. Hong Kong / 92 / 41.0
8. Singapore / 93 / 30.2
9. Ozbekistan / 94 / forfeit - not a good sign
10. Iran / 95 / 23.6
The above is a preliminary seeding. Final seedings will happen after the matches on 22-7-23
The extras all signed up for Druid's cup - good luck in the competition, I wish you all the best :)
Fixtures for the Asian Cup.

As soon as elections are over, I will send out some more sk-mails, I apologise if you have already signed up/receive the invite twice.
We will be looking to get underway in week 8 or 9, which should give us 5-6 rounds to make a mini round robin followed by a finals with at least semi finals.
Updated original post - this will be subject to change with number of teams, and in discussions with tsolias who is organising the mini world cup, so that we can bring together an exciting off season format for everyone
