Like old group system draw, group opponents play in 1st round playoff, 1st week players get older and then YS pulls occurs, older coaching stuff stays one more season, younger retires first?

Czech Republic has luck to play against rival from group phase. Last World Cup I played twice against Romania :-)

Easiest way to fix it would be to fix the matches instead of drawing lots each round, just like irl World Cups.

I had the same situation in WC when I lead Hellas u21 :) I played with France two times.
