Subject: [U21] World Cup , by Krzysztof/
Not really, their performance doesn't affect anyone else at this point, it's only between them who takes the first place. Very different situation.
Anyway it's after game already, also ended with a 0:0.

By resting, they are only looking after themselves, and it would affect who they play in the next round as they wouldn't be risking injuries or cards.
If Kesis decided to rest, he would also be looking after their own team
Same situation. If you are calling for other teams to always use first because it affects you, then you should also do the same when it affects others.
Anyway whilst Poland has sent out a bit of a different team, it looks like it was just low NT cap players so more likely change in selection due to form, players returning etc. And Bulgaria looks to have played basically the same team, so good on both coaches for going for the win to try and get 1st in the group, and a better opponent in the knockouts

not really
Suomi by throwing a game to USA would automatically kick out one of Poland/Bulgaria, while before Suomi used 1st team against both of them
Here it would be Poland or Bulgaria risking to lose 1st spot against Bulgaria or Poland, so no "third party" would get punished for their actions, if anything the opponent would be "gifted" a result.
As for "saving" players with cards or in injury prone positions... can't see what's wrong with that in general to be honest. Happens all the time both here and in real football.

We shouldn't be concerned with which players a team plays with. What is more important is that the matches on the third matchday must take place simultaneously. We could suggest this to the DEVs.
It's the same situation. One team is looking after themselve and hurting others if they don't go all in. Pretty simple really.
And I didn't say there was anything wrong with it, just that it would be hypocritical if they too didn't go in with firsts.
Teams throw games in real football and other codes as well. Sometimes it's to get a better draft, or a better next match or a variety of reasons. I don't say I like it, but if we are basing it on what happens in real life, that too also happens in real life. They just may not come out and say we are throwing it (betting agencies wouldn't like this) but they selectively rest key players or don't push at critical times etc.

While you're at it, ask them to move the World Cup to the end of the season.
I think it has been suggested and I totally agree. Even the other matches within the group would be good to have simultaneously.
It would be better to just have a set match time for each group.

Reschedule the match days of the World Cup so that the finals take place in the 13th week is an another good idea!
congratulations @kesis you did the right thing and proved that you are a respectful manager!
congratulations to adiks4o he is doing amazing job with our u21 team.

Thanks mate, it was a long time coming.
Definitely very difficult with a small nation team to get so far (46th in size on last check making it to the final 16) but for me that means a lot more than winning with a top 4 or top 8 team.
We will see what happens next game, but couldn't have asked for a better final season as coach after bringing the team from ranks in the 60s (pretty sure it may have hit 70) to their current position.

Germany and Brasil are out, Magyars will join them if Mexico win.
