But that doesnt make any sense... We will train players exactly same as before, but they will have lower skills (not 3x divine but 3x magical for example).

How this will bring new managers to the game is beyond me. Everyone wants their Messi or Ronaldo.

Btw setup training is too difficult for new users and matches must look like shit with default lineup.

They need to do tutorials before making promotions/ads to get new users.
But with the current speed of development, that will be probably in 2-3 years.

Sokker doesn't need Ads and tutorials to gain users and then gradually lose them. Certainly it could help but it’s couldn’t “explain”.

Devs spend times and ressources trying to improve (and save) the game, but basically their plan is building “sugar” over the same game. Not a game changer. And not only it’s doesn’t catch new users, but continue to not retain users. So.

Sokker is particularly long-term training / short-term trading centric to improve a team, whatever the tactic and winning game challenge. it's not a scoop for "old" users.

in term of long-term training, when you understand the system, you "just" have to get talent players, keeping track, waiting seasons. Due to the linear progression system : 1) every thing is focus on top talent / skilled players, others are invaluable for training 2) the "older" team you are, the better you team gain level. You dont even need to edit any tactic or challenge any match games for that.

To break the the long-term training time, "younger 's teams have only one option: short-term training/trading. Buy under the market, selling over, without need much skills improvement. Again no need to edit any tactic for that.

So, even if we can blame the "new" training (for sure there will be less long-term training and more short trading) it's still the same game as before.

Ironically, if tactic edition/M.E engine is unique feature that could kill any competitors in the business (ten years ago and even now) nothing is plan to : 1) improve the ME and tactic edition 2) removing the predominance of training/trading challenge over tactic/wining game challenge. And you know what ? Top leagues apart, I m pretty sure that most teams didnt not change any tactic or even watch any game a week, and for a good reason : we dont need !

After saying that, my "devs letter" is very very far from this. But pushing or even flooding better juniors (with all parameters increased) could help to get better skill level for all. Its should be better UX and challenge for all users than now. It's also more efficient than dreaming of another game. Even that, Devs seems not understand.

Yes, the tactics editor and match engine were the only reason why i chose sokker over hattrick 18 years ago. I found hattrick boring because of that.

Although i did not change tactics and did not watch a match for years now (since flash was blocked).

I do some basic probability.

The P probability to catch a "poor" junior draw could be just "getting a junior that start at 18year". Only with just this parameter a junior have no chance to be valuable.
Probability = 1 chance over 3

Probability to get a "talent junior" talent max 3.5 (from 3.0 to 5.0?) without considering any other parameters. Probability = 1 chance over 5

More complex, the P probability to get any "good" draw (without skills distribution consideration) could be :

Starting level : min.5 (from 0 to 7) P=3/7
AND age : max 17 (16 to 18) P=2/3
AND weeks : min 15 ( 1? to 33) P=1/2
AND talent: max 3.5 (3.0 to 5.0?) P=1/5
TOTAL P= 3/7*2/3*1/2*1/5 = 6/210
Probability = 1 chance over 35

Let's say, we have an average of 2 juniors entries by week * 13 weeks by season = 26 entries by season. If we report the chance to get a "good draw" by seasons we have 35/26 = 1.4 seasons to get just one "good draw". Note that it doesn't count skills distribution, a "good draw" doesn't even mean a valuable player in the end.

For the fun, i calculate a "perfect" draw with all max criteria.
Probability = 1 chance over 4158. it's 1 perfect draw each 160 seasons :-)

Just by setting few parameters this help to remove the few high probabilities to get useless "draw" each weeks and we can improve the low probabilities to just get 1 "good draw".

Let' say that :
1) we remove the 18y starting age (only keeping 16y,17y), we remove the high probability to get 1/3 of useless draw each weeks.
2) we set a minimum of 4 to starting level, the probability to get a "good draw" becomes 1 chance over 25 (currently: 1 chance over 35)
