Subject: [NT] African Cup IX edition
Hi to all,
A message just to let you know that here, in Algeria, as african managers, we do not appriciate the formula of this cup.
We don't gonna boycott it but we think that it could be more easy and clear for every one...
Why non- african teams?why 12 teams ? why 3 groups ? why teams ranking upper than the best african? why mode cup for the finale?
Why not 2 groups? 10, 8 or 6 teams.... nerver mind.... even 4, african teams ... matchs away/home if it necessary to full the dates, especially for the final... no mode cup which is too random and you'll consacrate the best african team of the tournament.
Africans communities are dying since years on Sokker, are disappearing, even in an friendly tournament made to put them under the light...
There is several easier formulas to put african teams in front of the local scene
As it currently presented, this tournament should be called " friends for Africa Cup" but no "African Cup of Nations", out of subject this cup is losing is soul.
However, we appreciate your efforts and we thanksfull for thatbut it was important you know our point of view before we stop our possible participation for the future for the A team and U21.
Greets ans good season to all !

I fully agree here, guests, even if they are in the tournament, should not determine its strength, because it defeats the purpose of such a tournament.
Well, I have a hard dilemma now, because promised some outsider teams confirmation. Cameroon out as we knew, but I didn't felt Ghana candidation crash too.
Well, I want the best for everyone. I respect your opinion. I wrote Saimon a private message I would be happy he wrote his opinion. And if the African manager read this in the topic, I would respect their opinion their point of you too.

Hi!
First of all I want to thank Red_Pirate for his efforts and for his time.
Red_Pirate wrote, that he has a dilemma and asked about our opinions, so here is mine (I am coaching Morocco, Al Maghrib)
I share the same opinion with manager Kadirdey of neighboured Algeria. Aftica Cup should have only African participants.
However I can trully understand why Red_Pirate invited some non African countries and me personal, I invited Andorra.
I believe it would be a frustrating situation to tell these friends to find other teams to play on the already scheduled weeks.
My proposal:
What about the Algerian proposal with 2 parallel tournaments?
African Cup & African friends Cup
and 1 prestigious match on week 13, between the African Cup Winner and the African Friends Cup Winner?
(prestigious = does not affect the participation on the Continental Cup)
----------------------------
African Cup POT 1
73 Sénégal 958.91
77 Misr 870.57
79 al-Jazā’ir 767.73
81 South Africa 679.23
African Cup POT 2
83 Kenya 577.32
86 Al Maghrib 292.04
91 Tūnis 36.98
96 Nigeria -510.48

53 Shqipëria 1584.10
69 Andorra 1012.40
78 Slovenija 786.16
90 O‘zbekiston 42.11
----------------------------
Week 08: African Cup (Group match) & African friends (Group match)
Week 09: African Cup (Group match) & African friends (Group match)
Week 10: African Cup (Group match) & African friends (Group match)
Week 11: African Cup (Semi final) & African friends (Final and bronze match - 1st leg)
Week 12: African Cup (Final and bronze match) & African friends (Final and bronze match - 2nd leg)
Week 13: African Cup Winner vs. African Friends Cup Winner
Week 01: Continental Cup (Semi final)

- 2 Groups of 4
- Groups 1st and 2nd qualify to semifinal

Thanks your opinion too Tsolias.
Another way Shqiperia cancelled the participation. As I see Slovenija participate on the Mini WC too, and if so this is very interesting. It can be a problem with week 08 and week 09 as lot of team to play for another places on the Mini WC.

If Albania and Slovenia are out, then, with 8 African teams, I see no sence to have guest teams.
PROPOSAL 3
Me, I would immediately inform managers from Andorra and Uzbekistan, that this African Cup will have no guests, I would thank them for their registration and I would propose them to find other teams to play with after week 8,
or...
PROPOSAL 4
or I would organize this African Cup with 10 teams, like the new champions league format:
- 10 teams in 1 group (the 8African teams and the 2 guest teams from Andorra and Uzbekistan)
- Every team plays 4 group matches )week 8, 9, 10, 11), 2 matches with teams from pot 1 and 2 with tems from pot 2.
- Week 12: semifinals 1-4, 2-3 and matches for places 5-8: 5-8, 6-7.
- Week 13: Final, bronze medal match and match for #5 to #8
And now, by finishing writing my proposals, I like both of them and I am curious about your opinions. :)

Greetings friends, I hope you are well, I find it interesting to want to form the cup only with African countries because in the end that is what an African champion looks for, the guests are always there to fill the places in the formats used and be able to give the groups and dates.
Now regarding this edition of Africa with 8 countries, I think the best thing is to maintain the format but eliminate the quarterfinals, knowing that everyone accepted then there should be 2 groups of 4 countries.
Group A
1
2
3
4
B Group
1
2
3
4
The first and second in each group qualify and go directly to the semi-finals.
SEMI-FINALS
1A vs 2B
1B vs 2A
the calendar would be
Week 09: African Cup (group match)
Week 10: African Cup (group match)
Week 11: African Cup (group match)
Week 12: African Cup (Semifinal)
Week 13: African Cup (Final and bronze match)
Week 01: Continental Cup (Semifinal)
Week 00: Continental Cup (final)

Well, so many thing was in my mind in the last to days, I would the less worst thing, and respect the opinions. There would be A and B groups with only African Teams, the two best from each group go into the semi final and so forth.... I will overwrite the rules in the first page shortly.
I will write the outsider managers with an apologise right now.
I don't want to lose any African teams participations.

Don't panic my friends, we can keep this formula for this year, it's maybe too short to make it change, but the next one gotta change...
remember, african teams are looking for light, they need to share this moment, they need to play, they need emulation...
This tournament is their time, their party!

Keep in mind that the weaker team (community) should feel alive and hopeful through this tournament, all while giving them importance and consideration.
play 3 group matches then disappear, what's the point? especially against teams who are already tormenting them in the World Cup qualifiers.

the proposals of Tsolias (4) and Saimon come close to something more coherent, thank you.
I know this Kadirou. But no problem. We play it with 2 groups for fun with african teams this year too:

I will write about teams with some information, and I will made interviews before the rolling, as I will have a little time.
Hello my friends
The African cup is for African national teams.
I do not understand why other teams from Asia or other country's invited.
I see whe play whit African teams nice.
Good job.
Why all strong team together in one group.
Why not two strong team different group stage.
The strong team has no chance for go next round.

Hello friend, those are not the groups, they are the drums for the draw, then they will be computerized into two groups
