There's zero room for error in the official CC though, one bad day and you're out...plus you actually have to deal with injuries and suspensions.
Since we play two legs in each round and can always play our best lineups there's less luck and randomness involved.

I couldn't watch my match, but it seems like I'll need a lot of luck to qualify..

Game was much closer than the stats show. And, I was offside for most of the game;(

Haven't seen the game yet, but wtf. I checked of the squad was set correctly, but if was the team I play in extraklasa. Good that such a defeat happened in arcade not official game.

Well, a better result than Zabujcze. :)
The first half seemed to be headed in the same direction though as everything was going my opponent's way as they built a 4:0 lead.
Thankfully I was able to reduce the deficit in the second half so there's still a chance but this was a highly frustrating match. I've rarely seen a match where my strikers ran past the defense over and over again only to be stopped at the last second by a tackle or foul or some other nonsense.

There will be a big fight in the rematch of this match. Coming from 4-0 down to finish the match 5-3 reduced the score disadvantage a little.
