If I have been training pace the whole of last season, and my defenders do not even have a random pop in def, will they all pop up in def immediately if i change to def training this week?

hmmm... they won't?? so what determines who will pop and who won't?

maybe when you bought them they were low at def... so they have a season as general training... maybe some of them will pop if trained, maybe all of them will pop but maybe none will ;)... depends on how high are they in def ;)

it does not matter what skill they have in def... if it's lower one that the chances that he might pop this week is higher as he has a season as general training ;)... i can't decide if you should take the risk or not... it's up to you ;)

assistants determine random pops. also your head coaches skill.
the better your assistants and also your head coach is at training defending the better the chance of a random pop.
random pop in a player talent 4, with 3 unearthly assistants and headcoach unearthly in defending - 16 weeks for a random pop in defending (assuming they havent already had some training)

thats only a guess as to how it works ;) cba going through the maths of it.. needless to day assistants are massively important in random pops

It's not only for plus users. I think only the archive is. But it's not very useful anyway until they come up with a better formula. :)
