I've read that some people do not like the term "random pop" for the results of the general training.

Well, together with a group of friends we call them side pops.

I think it's a better name than random and probably a bit more practical than "a result of a general training" :)

Actually I agree with you about the term 'random pop'. I think it is not random because it takes about 40(?) weeks. So side pops is a better term in my opinion.

id say talent is a massive factor... also coaches are... i figure talent * skill of 3 assistants * skill of head coach in the skill being side popped/4

so 4x unearthly coaches and talent of 4 would probably take 16 weeks to random pop in everything... so thats 4 pops in his main skill, and 1 random pop in everything else...

also talent varies according to how high the skill is already, and age and talent is different for different skills at different ages (pace is high talent below 18, and lower than everything else above 20 id say)

random guesswork there, but it seems to apply... then again, i fail to see a reason for 3 assistants even.. i had one for ages and it got me the same pops as if i had 3

yes, it is not random at all! that's why it is called pops due to general training.

so 4x unearthly coaches and talent of 4 would probably take 16 weeks to random pop in everything... so thats 4 pops in his main skill, and 1 random pop in everything else...
you can say that 10 weeks of general training add up to about 1 main training (with unerthly training skill of the main coach and good assistants). so if a player needed 2 main trainings to pop adequate tech, it would have taken about 20 general trainings for that pop (it could have been less due to subskill). for higher skills it leasts longer, of course. (explanation see next paragraph)

that is missunderstanding and not correct. talent is a constant. you see it in youth school, because there the training progress depends only on talent and youth coach. training progress in main squad (which you called missunderstandingly 'talent') depends on more factors, i.e. talent, skill, player's age, skill level and trainers.

i just had a random down in stamina there today :S for a 20 year old!

he had popped the previous week so probably popped to just above the skill level and then dropped this week (dont know why caus im pretty sure he played 90 minutes) *checks* yep 90 minutes...

Yep, was meant in general ;-)

The Swiss NT coach just wrote that he could run in Polska, so I guess it is possible, at least in this case.
But I'm pretty sure though it's not working on the regular elections ...
