"i read this in rules.. The difference is even smaller for a player that played in two games instead of just one.
what exactly does it mean?? does it mean its better for a player to play one game or two games a week?"

No,, it means that playing two games a week has barely any advantage in training. A player which plays only in the competition or cup during a week will get around 95% training, only a friendly is around 90%, two complete matches will lead in any case except injuries to 100% training. A NT-match is 33% training, but will never lead to more than 100% training.

It's slightly better in this order:
100% One plus some in the other.
95% (?) League/cup
90% (?) Friendly

I really doubt there is different talent for different skills. There is always only one additional hidden attribute of a player mentioned and it is talent. imho player who pops every 3 weeks in striking will certainly pop at the same rate in defending. What counts (compared 2 skills) is main coach quality in trained skill and level of skill.

2. I don't know how much, but the common believe/knowledge is that pace is slower.

Yes, there is a formula for pops depending of coach, talent and age. The problem is to figuere it out ;-) so we can count backwards to know talents of players we have bought. Devs of course knows, but they don't tell, becaise they have said Training effects are ment to be some unclear, so we this to try to figuere out ;-)
Although there are spme hints in the rules

>El Propio Each player has ONE talent level (but different skills trains different fast, but theese differences are the same for all players. See the rules for hints) With exception for stamina where all players have the same talent.
(Different skilldepending talents have been suggested by me to solve some other developing solution problems, but it's not done.)

I took a new magical junior coach about a season ago. Before i was satisfied with my youth school, but I thought that club must develop. So I took a new one. But now i seethat my brilliant coach was even much better. I have currently even no youth shool players with talent below 5:S Is it normal that when you take a new youth coach then first the youth school goes worse but afterwards it is worth it? Or am I just unlucky not to have any talented players coming on saturdays:D

Thanks man...
That's exactly what I wanted to know. Pace trains slower. I don't know why, in my head, I kept thinking that pace trains faster than the main skills (DEF, PM or ST). I guess HT had to do smth with that... lol...

Would you say that one of the benefits of training pace (lets say: for a whole season) is that you have more freedom when picking a line up? Taking into consideration that it doesn't matter where you play your trainees as long as they play once during the week.
Because, if until now I had to play with 3 strikers, I don't have to anymore. My striker trainees will get pace training even if I play them as defenders or midfielders.

Yes, that's indeed true. When you're training pace you can play every tactic. By training midfielders I limit myself to a 3-5-2 or 4-5-1 tactic.

You're unlucky. The number of, the quality of and the talent of youths you get every saturday is in no way affected by the level of your youth coach, he only influences how fast your youths increase.

I have a question.

How come transfer announcements get removed after a while? :S
2007-10-17 15:42:39
perfect explanation ..thanx :))
2007-10-17 15:45:47
got ya..thanx :)
2007-10-17 15:55:20
Understood! ;) same here. I had to play 3-4-3 for a while.

However, I still have one thing unclear. I've seen people buy young goalkeepers and play them as defenders/mids during the friendlies, to train their pace. So, are goalkeepers excluded when we say that all players get pace training as long as they play?
2007-10-17 16:52:18
no i think they included when u train pace as long as they are in a match that week
2007-10-17 17:01:32
That's what I thought, but then again... :S why do people play them out of their positions for training?

I'm waiting on Mr. Wisdom's (luut) confirmation on this matter :P.

Goalkeepers are not excluded from pace-training. I don't see any reason why they would be..
