How to set a password to one folder in my computer?

Is it even possible?
Using Vista.

i would like to do it without using any 3-rd party programs.
only maybe something small that runs silently and doesnt take up much memory + needs a tray icon or something.

could anybody tell me wtf is wrong with my laptop?

it takes like 5 minutes to open google chrome or any other program.

CPU usege is between 60-100% atm, while it should be like 5-20%(?). best score I´ve seen today is 98%, few times.

did some virus scanning as well allready, but nothing.

some driver has broken down or something?

Tried CCleaner already? My pc was also very slow and this made a real difference :)

no havent tried that. but my PC worked as if it was new until today afternoon, my wifi stick crashed while I was in sokker. and after that everything got fucked up, computer crashed while doing a restart. I´d like to believe wifistick crashed because something got fucked up not vica versa. so it is pretty strange actually.

but I guess I might check that shit out tomorrow. though I doubt ur google chrome took 5-7 minutes to open:S. I think it is something bigger than this:/

but thanks anyway.

No, it wasn't that slow .... :S

You could also try spy-catching, as it could be some spyware or some other malicious software. Here you can find some for free: http://download.cnet.com - free spyware removers

EDIT: and did you check Processes in Task Manager (ctrl+alt+del) already to look at the running programs and subroutines? You can easily see what is chewing up CPU cycles, if some program(s) or subroutine(s) is not doing what it supposed to do.

well if it was some spyware or shit like that, it had to come through my Kaspersky security. and also Malwarebytes in safe mode couldn´t detect anything either..

but thanks again.

yes, nothing unusual in task manager. only the programs that were supposed to work and nothing mega big working.
