windows 7 it is

but it worked perfectly fine for a month or so.
looks like kaspersky´s avp.exe sukced out 50-70% CPU

turned that shit off.

anyone knows what´s svchost.exe(DcomLaunch) purpouse? and also, is it normal that most of the time it takes 0% of CPU and then suddenly jumps up to 25% of CPU. and then goes back to 0 again and stays there for some time.

anyways without Kaspersky, CPU is arount 10% most of the time. when dcom goes up then 35+%

One of the most forgotten things, did you clean your laptop inside by blowing air in it?

Maybe this will help you: Windows 7 - Repair Install

And ofcourse you can search for your problem on Windows Sevenforums :)

And how many antivirus programs are you running? More then 1 can cause problems.

:P And I'm not the only one ...

I've read that Kaspersky is causing problems sometimes. De-install your current antivirus and install one of these: Avast Free Antivirus or AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 2012 :)

Product ranking: #1 and #2 in Antivirus Software

I'm using Avast, never had any problems with it. Also used AVG in the past but it was a bit heavy back then, think that is different now, but I have no reason to delete Avast.

EDIT: btw, I do have AVG on my smartphone :P

well, my IT-fag little brother said he turned off his kaspersky in the beginning of september. and said he´s had 0 viruses since then. he spends like avarage 5+ hours in internet per day.

so he said fuck the antivirus, unless I visit suspicious sites. but actually I don´t really do much in my pc. I don´t even download anything. my internet stick is too shitty to download and if I need anything, my bro will get me anything.

but he suggested I should scan my PC from time to time. and promised to fix my PC if some virus fucks it up.

Tricky, but you can do it that way if you are absolutely sure you won't open suspicious websites or download any programs :)

You know, some websites you may visit look safe, but they aren't and if you do online banking for example, I would recommend a good virus scanner to prevent serious problems.

well I only visit like 15-20 sites that I´ve been visiting for like the last several years. and talkin about suspicious, I don´t really visit pron sites. my friend who has serious issues has kaspersky internet security and his PC is constanly full of viruses.

but well yea, I guess it would be wise to turn antivirus on again while doing money transfers... but atm no probs, next time I do online banking is on 8th march. I have to transfer money to pay my dorm bills and 8th march is the day when they send the final warning. threatening to end contract and shit if I don´t pay. scumbags.

Avast is also giving me sometimes warnings with popups containing suspicious software when I open a movie site. So not only porn sites are a problem ;)

And threats from companies is shitty indeed.

I recognize that problem, I also had something like that in the past. At one moment only start up in save mode still worked, but that also stopped after a while and nothing worked anymore.

A friend of mine used a CD to start my pc and did some more things (but I don't know exactly what but it worked). Here you can find some info that could help you:

Oh, another problem I was thinking of which can happen without a good antivirus, if you open a link in an email from a friend that looks ok, not knowing he's been hacked by an email-trojan, you have a problem too ;)
