Subject: Ice Hockey

Really bad trade for Flames I would say. Higgins and Kotalik are not so good players. But of course Olli Jokinen would been a free agent when season ends. So they wouldn't get any money for him end of season. Now they get 2 players for him. And Olli isn't playing so good this season. So that's reason why Flames traded him. It's really sad cause I would have liked him to play with Hagman.

True. Higgins, Kotalik and Jokinen all underperformed so far this season. And I also think Jokinen is a better player than Higgins and Kotalik.
But the trade was Jokinen & Prust against Higgins & Kotalik, and personally I think the Flames got the better out of it.

Yeah, they are allways top in regular season but in playoffs they dropp right away :) Ovechkin and Backstrom are so good together. Backstrom passes and Ovechkin scores. Also Semin is great.

i'm not sure what the flames are doing.. their chance of a playoff spot is weakened.

i'm a leafs fan and i am happy from the trades;
1st game is shut-out for J.S.,
and Phaneuf and Sjostrom had a strong game in a 3-0 win against New Jersey

Burke is slowly giving the leafs a chance for a next year playoff spot;
this year it may be too late for the playoffs but soon the leafs will be back!

I don't think so. One Phaneuf isn't enough (and Kaberle). They don't have enough good attackers. Only Kessel is good even he's like a shadow from last season.

East sucks so i think a playoff position is possible for next season. and like i said it's the beginning of something bigger than just a couple players...
i know what you mean Leafs still need an experienced first line Forward...the void after Sundin left still hasen't been filled...maybe Kessel can fill it but in a couple years...

Kaberle is probably going to get traded because of his contract...they should get something for him while they can...

Kaberle still has a contract until 2010/11 if I'm not wrong. And he doesn't earn that much, I think the Leafs should try to keep him, or don't you think so?

Just saw that the Leafs have many strikers who get UFA at the end of the season. Guess they need to trade well or sign some free agents for next season ...

you have to look at the demand for a puck-moving defenceman, and consider his age, lots of other teams would gladly take him...it's what we get in return is the question.

i have faith in Burke after the big trades a couple days ago...Leafs haven't made the playoffs since the lock-out...time for some change

Komisarek has 4.5 and Kessel 5.4.
4.25 is ok if he plays like now, he's among the top defensmen scorers.

But of course I cannot really say what the Leafs need, due to the time difference I don't get many chances to see a match live, I only see the statistics and/or highlights, so I'm sure you know much better what's better for the leafs ;-)

I support Anaheim Ducks :) Even the they do not go very well now.

And Kovy in New Jersey ! What you think about that? I'm disapointed :( I would have liked him to play another team than the New Jersey. I don't like Devils. :-(
