Switzerland was unlucky to be in the toughest group together with Canada and USA :-(
But two close losses against USA (1:3 in the group stage and 0:2 (the second goal an empty netter) in the quarter finals) and losing against Canada only after shootouts is a tremendous performance!

Had we been in one of the easier groups we might have had a better position for the quarter finals and en easier opponent there ;-)

Yeah, with another group you would have lost in the quarterfinals against Russia 0:1, after 13:4 Shots, Sweden would have won Gold against Canada in the final through an irregular Goal and I would have found 50 Euro on the street, but heck, it didn't happen.;)

Swiss were very lucky. Also they got maybe one of the best defence in this championship. Very good GK palying was olso one of the main factors. But be realistics with such poor offence hard to win :).
So I don`t bealive that it was better for them to play in in other group :).
But in general good game Swiss keep going :).

Yeah our 4th place is surprising. I thought we were going to win gold medal. :)))

No, against Russia we'd have scored for sure! Their defense is/was even weaker than our offense! :-))

@HaMmeriS: My post was more like a joke ;-)
But true, Hiller is also in the NHL one of the top 5 goalies at the moment, and from the beginning it was clear almost everything depended on him. And we don't have any NHL striker at all, guess that's a reason why we're not that good in the offense.

In the past we've performed better against the Eastern European teams, so we might have had a better chance against Slovakia, Czech Republic or Russia.

But well, we're in the top 8 again, that's still good if you take a look at the teams and (NHL) players behind us :-)

watching last night made me really interested in ice hockey!

Too bad that's the best game you will see for the next 4 years. Last night was amazing. It'll go down to the history books. USA worked well. Kane worked well (fantastic player) but Canada is the best team in the world.

From American team I liked most Rafalski, Callahan and Miller.

Indeed, Miller impressed me this Olympics (from what I have seen in USA matches).

Too bad that's the best game you will see for the next 4 years.

Maybe even longer if the NHL doesn't stop for the Olympics anymore ...

Was an extremely fast game, no mistakes, tremendous intensity, just fun to watch! I was glad Parise scored the equalizer, but just to get more of this great hockey! :-)
