2 great match-ups down the drain :(

GSP will easily wrestlefuck Condit to a 50-45 or 49-46 decision and BJ will probably get some huge wrestler who will try to grind him.

did you hear about overeem-lesnar ?

probably won't be top quality match but knock-out will be 101% painfull whoever gets it :D

Nick Diaz IS a b*tch!

Although Condit is a really good fighter, I don't think he can overcome GSP's skillset.

Regarding Overeem v Lesnar. The message boards seem to really be favoring Overeem. Lesnar I think is a bit underrated after the beating he took from Velasquez. I think Lesnar's wrestling and ground and pound will take this fight, as Dutch fighters are notoriously bad at stopping takedowns.

did you hear about overeem-lesnar ?

Everyone is buzzing about that one, especially those who haven't seen more than 2 fights in their lives.

Play-by-play:
-bell rings
-Lesnar bullrushes Turtlereem and they trade short punches and knees on the fence
-Turtlereem forces Lesnar back to the center
-Lesnar shoots for double-leg takedown
-Turtlereem sprawls
-Turtlereem connects with huge left hook
-Lesnar runs away, Turtlereem connects few more and drops him
-Turtlereem by TKO 2:12 of the first round

I really don't see Overeem stopping Lesnar's takedowns. And because of the takedown threat alone Overeem will probably be more cautious with those deadly knees of his.
2011-09-08 23:20:40
don't mind xtrguy he is wanna be expert that was never on a single training of some decent fighting sport xD
2011-09-08 23:20:51
His takedowns are based purely on strength, Carwin stopped them easily until he gassed himself out by punching his face like mad man.
And Turtlereem has enough strength...
2011-09-08 23:23:22
Oh sorry, I meant no disrespect to your 3rd degree black belt in jiu-jitsu and four K-1 WGP belts.
2011-09-08 23:26:54
Carwin was an NCAA division II wrestling champion. Overeem has no real wrestling experience to speak of.

Even the bookmakers have Overeem as a (small) favorite as well.
Overeem -135 (i.e. pay 135$ to win 100$)
Lesnar +105 (i.e. pay 100$ to win 105$)
2011-09-08 23:35:33
It opened at -120 and will only go lower.
Smart players already placed big bucks on Turtlereem on -120 and will cover themselves when Lesnar reaches +170 or even +200, and win money with any outcome.

Turtlereem has this 4/5 times.
At least they put Lesnar in there, PPV buys will be much larger and Mir would have get himself killed.

well i don't have a black belt, but i have enough experience and i received my share of takedowns and g&p or submissions to know that one should never underestimate big slow guy that can wrestle :)

Penn is now fighting Nick Diaz.

Should be a good fight. Won't really be rooting for any one of them though, as I think both of them are self-centered *****.

Lesnar isn't slow for his size.

@GSP: At least they haven't given a wrestler to Baby Jay

Oh, and Grease St. Decision sucks
