I think Lesnar. Overeem I'm afraid is a bit overrated in MMA. He hasn't faced a wrestler with top credentials in a very very long time. I think he gets taken down and Lesnar wins by GnP.

Still hope Overeem wins of course. Always fun to see Brock beat up.

Overeem missing a scheduled drug test by 2-3 weeks because he "too busy for such things" is really, really shady.

Regarding Nogueira's arm..

Noguiera had a titanium plate and 16 screws installed to stabilize the broken humerus bone while it heals. It’s likely that the plate will remain even after the fusion is complete.

i believe lesnar will win. i have watched overeem last match, with werdum and i was very disspointed. he cant take a fight to the ground while lesnar has the advantage of being an ex wrestler....
btw i heared batista will fight in ufc...is that true?

Overeem - Werdum was very poor, Overeem's conditioning looked very poor there as well.

If Overeem can keep it standing I think he will win, Lesnar does not have particularly good striking defense (see Lesnar vs Cain). Thing is, don't think he can prevent the take down. Dutch fighters so far have been quite poor in defending take downs, maybe because they all lack a wrestling background.

@edit
And regarding Bautista, seems unlikely to me. Year ago there were talks about him joining Strikeforce. Now Strikeforce is UFC owned as well and I haven't heard/read anything on the MMA sites I visit.

yes, your right....having a wrestling background is a huge advantage....for exemple, jones has been also a wrestler and he is undefeated.... if we remember a few things from that fight we can conclude that as long as machida didnt took the fight to the ground he stood a chance against bones...the same thing could happen with overeem

Destruction as expected.

And screw you Cowboy for fighting like shit against Diaz, looked awful and million times worse than in 4 previous fights this year.

this is the unpleasent part of the ufc....you wait 2 months for this fight and it ends in 2 minutes....

LoL, what have you expected, 5 rounds ? :)

My earlier post:

Play-by-play:
-bell rings
-Lesnar bullrushes Turtlereem and they trade short punches and knees on the fence
-Turtlereem forces Lesnar back to the center
-Lesnar shoots for double-leg takedown
-Turtlereem sprawls
-Turtlereem connects with huge left hook
-Lesnar runs away, Turtlereem connects few more and drops him
-Turtlereem by TKO 2:12 of the first round

Except lack of Lesnars bullrush at the opening bell and the type of strikes that dropped him I got it pretty much to the point 2,5 months ago, it even lasted 14 seconds longer xD

Overeem!

Have to agree with you there. Seems like Cerrone somehow lost his edge/focus in pretty much the first exchange. He was just standing around with his chin up, no head movement, being a punching bag for Diaz. Especially with the Diaz brothers you need to keep pressure on them. Was really looking forward to seeing Nate getting his ass kicked.

Lesnar - Overeem wasn't much of a fight. As soon as I saw Lesnar wasn't going for a full-on takedown I knew the fight was Overeem's to win. As I saw it described on another website: ,,Brock Lesnar doesn’t love fighting; Brock Lesnar loves beating people up."

Still sad to see Lesnar go though, as he brought a lot of attention and excitement to the sport. Now let's just hope Overeem test results come back clean.

Other remarkable victories: Hendricks (beat Fitch!), Hette (domination of Nam Phan).

I had Turtlereem, Cowboy, Hendricks, Hettes, Gustaffson, Kim, Pearson, Njokuani, Nunes combined on multiple 2-fight parlays.

Njokuani lost very close decision, could have gone his way and Cowboy fought like shit.

Won some money, could have been a lot more if Cowboy won even with Njokuani loss.

lesnar resigned so is obvious that he didnt care too much about this fights as long as it was the last one for him....
overoid is good but not invincible

You put Hendricks in parlays against Fitch? You are quite the gambler :)
2012-01-01 23:30:46
I know my shit xD

I was expecting 29-28 Hendricks because I knew Fitch would not be able to do his usual wrestlefuck on one of the best NCAA wrestlers ever, and he was coming of long lay-off.
But 12-second KO worked well, LoL.

Hettes was also 2.50 like Hendricks but that one was a lot more obvious, Phan is not UFC-class at all, out-of-prime Mike Thomas Brown wrecked his shit for a 30-25 and his only win in UFC is against even bigger can in Leonard Garcia.

@Anonymus: Turtlereem is losing as soon as decent punch finds his face, he has good shot at belt but if JDS recovers well I expect him to land something good, or go to decision, and keep the belt.
