I hope so to, in my opinion he should really go for light heavyweight. He could make that weight class easily.
I wish I would have put money on Silva, I think his game is very solid.
Now I'm hoping Overeem exposes Werdum. Werdum thinks way too highly of himself.

Fedor at weigh in before this fight. Looking like that he weighed in at 230. He should be able to make 205 fairly easy.
he lost his quickness, looked really slow.... doesnt move that actively anymore and that was his main advantage.... especially against a fighter like silva
Silva can take a punch, I mean have you seen his jaw :D
Honestly I think Silva is an underrated fighter. Oddly enough I thought Fedor looked better in this showing than he did against Werdum. He was really trying this time but simply lost to the much bigger guy (Fedor is 6,0 230 pounds; Silva is 6,4 and on fight night probably weighed close to 280 pounds).
I've already heard Strikeforce might try to make Fedor the top reserve, i.e. he'd come in if some of the other fighters in the tournament got hurt. Strikeforce did not expect Silva to win yesterday.

Upon returning to Russia, Emelianenko stated that he planned to continue fighting and his
Sambo coach Vladimir Voronov said that he is more motivated now than ever.
Quote*
He has a hematoma, but it will go. It’s very good that Fedor still has his fighting spirit, he is ready to break everyone now," Voronov said. "Most importantly for him is not to have any psychological pressure. The loss will make him train with triple the effort.

Dana White on...
On merging the two organizations into one:
“Strikeforce is going to continue to run business as usual. There’s contracts in place. These guys are on Showtime. Strikeforce pulls good ratings for Showtime. I think Showtime is happy with them. And all of those contracts will be honored. These guys are going to remain Strikeforce fighters. Could guys from the UFC leave and end up over in Strikeforce? Yeah, absolutely.”
Regarding a Super Bowl style event, pitting fighters from the two organizations against one another:
“There won’t be any super fights. When I say business as usual, we don’t co-promote. We don’t co-promote, period.”

That was convincing, damn. Don't think Shogun even really touched him.
Tough to imagine who could beat Jones. I don't really give any of the current Light Heavyweights a real chance.
Did you see Cro Cop faceplant as well?
