yes we have, cause we need to hack :D

Well well well, what do we have here:
"However, the most popular broadband services are provided by micro-ISPs (known locally as "reţea de bloc/reţea de cartier" (Block/Neighborhood Networks) with 50 to 3000 customers each. These ISPs usually provide their services through 100BASE-T UTP LANs, with a number of particularities and peculiarities: most were grassroot organizations and still have a feeling of community between subscribers and the management, speeds are usually divided in three categories: "LAN", "Metropolitan" and "International" with Metropolitan meaning a limited number of networks with which the micro-ISP has a peering agreement and sometimes the cable internet providers. Generally, for such broadband connections, speeds are 100 Mbit/s locally, 1-50 Mbit/s metro and 256-2048 kbit/s International."
Snap! Let's see you pesky Romanians do a speed test from an international server!
My interpretation is that International speeds are nowhere near as fast as local ones. I.e. the sokker site will not load as fast as a Romanian website. Of course, I could be completely wrong ;)

you are right ..but all those who make that test are automatically guided to the closest server ...so all the speeds are local ...you can compare the "international speed" only by choosing the same server
for example in i chose the one in Poland (Wroclaw) ....my result are:
...but even so you can't compare my results with yours (for the same server in Poland) ...because the distance is totally different
PS ..and btw Yarden ... i don't think there is something wrong with the site ;) ...the numbers are real ...but as snowy previously said ...there are very big differences between local and world wide speeds ...but those differences apply to all

now ...the only way we can compare is by doing the test 2 ways ...and what i mean is that my results for Christchurch are:
now when you are online try a test with the Bucharest server and we'll be able to compare the results
