i wouldnt know as im still stuck in some poxy italian league depite being scottish. get the leagues sorted and people may log in more
actually I think it is more fun to play in one big country right now than having your own league to play against (or with) yourself only :P But it is clear that there cannot be expected a lot in a game that is still in construction like ultimate manager. I still think it already is fun to play.

Sokker have arrested its growth, but UM evolves continually. So thank user's opinions; the admins are very receptive.

I think in the future maybe will be create new leagues if users from other country increase them number.
The third season will start on thusday 29-06-10.

as the admin told me, when will be more users for a certain country he will make a new league, so if you get maybe 10+ scottish users in UM you will get your own league :)
rubbish - you will not get users in if they cannot play in a league in their country against their mates.

I am not quite sure the developpers actually want 10'000ends of users right now. I guess it is a lot easier to develop if you have a smaller group of users that is motivated to give ideas and hints but does not expect too much.
Of course they will not become as big as sokker as long as there are no seperate leagues for every country, but if they have that, they will also have to implement all the languages that those countries need. So tons of work and tons of things to adapt every time you make a little change in the game.

the more changes you make then the more changes will be required when you introduce new languages. Its best to get these things in at the start rather than ploughing ahead with something then thinking "shoot now i need to go back and translate all of this"
Decided to give it a try from now on. Already have my team quite a while though. Just opened a youth school. Good decision or not? Any tips on kind of players, tactics, ...
It depends. Problem is, this costs lots of ressources, ressources the game may not have yet. Translating into 50 languages is quite painful, especially if you have a version that does not only is added with lots of features but changes, so there may be things you will have to translate several times (one time for every time it changes). I think the focus atm is ok: fast development of the core features the users of UM want the most now. But of course we can agree to disagree on this :)
Youthschool is a good idea. But you will have to keep an eye on the talent of your players (you can only have a total of 16 players in your ys and if they aren't talented they will turn out crappy). First you should build up your stadium and not be too active on transfer market. Stadium is the main source of money. Good trainer is important, but only if your team is talented. So I personally think you can do with trainer with 11 in skills (quite cheap) until you pull your talented juniors. If you want more infos, best ask in the forums in UM. I don't want to write too much here. :)
