So...any Armstrong fans feeling cheated?
2012-10-11 23:27:34
I'm an Armstrong fan, and my respect for him hasn't changed at all. For me he's still the greatest cyclist of his era.

Even though his success is based on top level doping and he is known to have enforced doping methods on other cyclists?

I'm convinced that Armstrong used pretty much the same doping as his competitors. He used it more wisely though, 'cause he was never tested positive. Looking at the other guys in the top ten of the TdF in the years he won, it would be cynical to give those other guys the victory.
This is a quote from Hunter S. Thompson:

In a closed society where everybody's guilty, the only crime is getting caught. In a world of thieves, the only final sin is stupidity.

It fits there perfectly (and in the rest of nowadays world as well).

Well, Armstrong is kinda special with all his anti-doping proclamations, saying how crystal clear is his conscience, agressive behaviour against opponents (e. g. Simeoni), deep involvement in doping machinery and paying money to the officials to fix his positive doping test... He says he has done so many controls and never tested positive but not everyone agrees.. Check e. g. here. and I am almost sure that if he doped also in 2009/10, he did not do "just what everybody else did"..

But nothing personal against you, guy. I hate police states where everybody breaks the law and those uncomfortable for the power get banned; it is quite similar in the case of recent methanol deaths here in the Czech Rep. and illegal distributors have my full support .. ;)

..and here it comes: ban confirmed. I quite expected UCI to go amnesty way and only CAS will confirm USADA´s decision..

UCI should resign all.

to return the money to the riders, teams and organizations.

at the time of Armstrong were all "super gasoline" that shit made the UCI?

I think it's a shame to ban someone without real evidence and based only on confessions of (other) doping users. And also, try to find winners of the Tour, Giro or Vuelta during and before Armstrong's time who didn't use anything which is now illegal, kinda impossible.
