Subject: fishing and hunting

This topic is missing here and i am thinking that lot of from us have this hobby.

I was sea fishing first time and i am so happy. I caught really nice swordfish 43 kg. It is too strong fish and i was so tired.....

Yeh fun, killing animals for absolutely nothing, yeh for a hobby. That's something I always wanted to do ....... fun :S

Let's hope almost non have this hobby. Fishing is already pointless, but hunting is just cruel :S

I don't see any difference between them. Anyway I love fishing, I don't like hunting.

No hunting for me, only fishing (just along some small river on a sunny day) to pass the time. Throwing back all fish except 1 kind that I give to a friend of mine to catch pike and eels, which my dad likes to eat.

Fishing (for food), I agree with (even though I'm not a fan of eating fish for some reason).

Hunting, I completely disagree with, going out killing animals just for their fur (or tusks with some animals) is wrong.

You may not forget some people are forced to go out hunting to survive :-) Now everything is economical we buy cows to kill them for meat but it's kinda hunting in a modern way

Killing cattle the most human way possible, or at least in my country it's done that way most of the times, is absolutely not the same as hunting in a modern way.

And those few examples of people that need to hunt is not comparable with hunting for fun.

Yeh .... and this is a completely irrelevant comment, football absolutely can't in any way be compaired to killing animals for fun.

I am sad, because we are took marlin and it is so great fish.We was fishing 5 guys and if i tell release, they would kill me :). It is my first and maybe last marlin. I ate marlin meat, i must tell that i did not eat nothing better.....

Ofcourse not. How many useless deaths are there at the end of a football match? And are the players and spectators forced to participate?

My hobby is fishing and i do not like hunting. I do not kill animal for fun!!!! If i take fish, it is good food for me. I love catch and release, but i take few fishes per year like food. Fish is really good food and if you buy fish in supermarket, you must know that 60-70 % wild salt wather fishes catching to net are waste. So you buy one fish and you kill 3-4 fishes. You buy it in supermarket and i cath fish.

Cattle???? Do you have some experience, or tell only what do you see in TV? Do you see live cattle????

I studied in Slovak Agriculture University. I work in Slovak breeding service, department central evidence livestock. Yes, you have true. It is all human. Your country buy cheap cattle in East Europe and full truck go 1000-2000 km to Nederland and lot of animal dead, because is hot weather, no wather.... It is really human.

What is your hobby? You still berated for everything in all topic. I am thinking that it is your hobby.

Not a big fan of hunting or fishing myself, but if you shoot a deer and then slit his throat, that is pretty much the same killing as "Killing cattle the most human way possible" (I like that, it is so sarcastic).
Killing just for the fun is not my cup of tea though, at least treat animals with respect and eat them.

I would like to fish to Finland or Sweden for pike and perch fishing(catch and release) Did you fish somebody there?
