Very good input guys,
Thank you for writing here and sharing.

So...is the revolution as dead as sokker already? :-P

No, we discuss different opportunities to start developing a game.

1 Start from scratch with developers within sokker from different countries remote working. (We have big interest here).

2 Start from scratch with local team and maybe with remote support. (We have are trying to find them right now as this would be the best choice for the process).

3 This choice is interesting and it's a choice that has started to grow if it would work:
Ask a price from Greg > Either find investors or crowdfund > Buy the game > redesign and build upon it with new features.

And there is some other stuff that has to be clear before we start developing. But there is some ugly first sketches in my notebook :) it's going to happen don't worry

#3 is the best solution.

As I said in another topic, all this game needs is a better layout and to be more user friendly. It doesnt need to change other things. If they revamp the layout/skin etc, and make it more user friendly with a good tutorial (both video-tutorial and step-by-step tutorial like in most games), then more people would stay playing. Also get rid of the 5 minutes wait (to watch a match) for non-plus users. That really is counter productive.

Geez, I still cannot believe you called me a Troll...

1: You don't do/create/code anything
2: You don't do/create/code anything
3: You don't do/create/code/pay for/ask for/find/buy/redesign or renew anything

And still, 3 is the best answer.

#3 is impossible. Greg won't sell. And the code of this game would have to be rewritten, I remember one of the Developers saying that it's very bad.

Btw. good luck in finding investors to buy out a dying game in a dying market.

In order to make him a buying proposal, one has to first find and contact greg and hope he answers.

Greg has lost hes intresting but not his profit from the game
i dont think there is som1 he can buy the game, need a lot of money....
if there is a day who lost the profit only then he will answer

I understand by experience that the third option is still the hardest, but it would've be interesting to take a look at the code.
Kongbuur i called you that because of many other reasons, and after what you called me, don't open it again =)

But i wrote after the third option (If it would work), and i don't think either that it will. Some people are mad that we don't try to make this game better, but it seems that we can't even get it in our hands, so we have to develop our own.

borkos007: Btw. good luck in finding investors to buy out a dying game in a dying market.

If I were rich, I would buy this game even if it doesnt make me any profit. This is one of the best games of this type on the web (IN MY OPINION this game and footballstrategy are the best of this kind), I cant believe the owners of this game abandoned this nice game like this. This game deserves better owners.

Like I said, all this game needs is a better layout, more user-friendliness, video-tutorial & step-by-step tutorial at the beginning and getting rid of the 5 minutes way before watching a match.

Yeah, I know nowadays in the first world countries people are now using their cell phones and tablets instead of desktop / laptop computers, but this game could be updated to aim towards that market.

When servers break down, somebody fixes it. Somebody creates a page saying "sorry, the server is having a major problem, it could take 24 hours" - somebody moves transfer deadlines a.s.o. Game is not dead, developers are not just "gone". There is no reason to panic. That is my major objection here. We just saw it happen yesterday and today. And, as such, the only reason to go somewhere else with stolen ideas and "remote workers" and create a similar game is - tadaaa - to make the money and steal the users. I will very gladly repeat myself: Go make the game, do it! I wish you well. But don't use this game to advertise, thanks.

You may be right that nobody is thinking about new features, but the game is not broken and does not need fixin'.

Anyway, I think you made it quite clear with your "now we have 3 options" above that you cannot actually make a game. You just dream that people will do it for you. So, no stress. Good luck - prove me wrong, but use the blog.

I hate when someone ask someone else to NOT say or not write something
If you don't like don't read..
Sokker forum allows discussion about other sokker manager games, I can't get where is the difference.

Anyway, I ask Ila to continue to post HERE his ideas and the state of his work. I'm interested in.

PS: a 30 hours down is a sign of vitality of sokker?? serious?

PS: a 30 hours down is a sign of vitality of sokker?? serious?

They fixed it, right?

What I have heard so far in this thread is that Greg and the rest of devs no longer have their teams, that they don't care, that they are programming some mobile game - and that some day we will wake up to a non-existent URL wirh error 404.

Well, that was not the case. Server broke down and somebody fixed it.

I hate when someone ask someone else to NOT say or not write something

You mean, like: "Its time for something new, and if you are tired of this situation, finally we give the option to do something about it! Otherwise, don't wine and be happy as it is =)"? (from post #1)

But ok, got your point. But can I keep telling everyone that he is NOT helping Sokker with what he says? In direct contradiction, actually. He 'gives the option to do something about it' - does he? No. Or well, it's not 'something' that will help Sokker in any way. I would very much like to be able to say "stop saying you want to help Sokker" - but apart from that, you're right, I'm in no position to say what he can or cannot say.

Sokker forum allows discussion about other sokker manager games, I can't get where is the difference.
There is no difference as long as everybody understands that it is another game we are talking about. It is NOT a revolution of Sokker. It is a deliberate attempt to make people sign up in order to leave this game and go play the other one. Allowed or not allowed, I think it's a crappy thing to do.

Hello, Coca-cola-lovers! So you want a Coca-Cola revolution? (no, not really) Come with me and I'll invent Pepsi (if I can make you or someone else pay for it) - problem fixed!. (Eh, what problem?)

That's it, really. What problem?

Why would you think users will quit here and only join his game? If he makes the game and get people from here to try his game and it turns out better than current one we have a new option and people can choose if they want this here or his game. If it turns out worse we have this game right here that aint gonna be going anywhere(as you said). Personally i would like a bit more in exchange from my time invested in a browsergame than just fixing the downtime which was most probably a server sided problem which means it was the server hosting company who fixed it not the game owners.

It does not guarantee him a success if he makes the game and it is gonna cost him both financially and labourhours so why not lower the risks and ask for help from interested people from here?

I dont think anyone here quits Sokker just because someone is creating a new game and calls for help on it(creating a big browsergame is NOT a one persons job as you seem to suggest). Afterall, most people that are still here have been here for 10 years.

So yeah, i dont see any reason why this discussion and development about the new version or new game should be halted.
