With this argument a german referee wouldn't work either, because, you know, Germany got beaten 3-0 as well by Croatia back in 1998 - so will he be fair and professional? And all the other teams that have lost to Croatia.. it's just ridiculous. These guys are on top level because they try to (and mostly do) find the right or best decision for every situation. Who these teams beat a couple of days or 20 years ago is the least of their concerns.

Try to be a referee for a football match, when you concentrate on your job you'll see how unimportant the teams itself become.

respect to the referee "Nestor Pitana", I checked all decisions and he made a really good job :-)

Danmark played limited football, but fighting good with heart, Croatia less power than the matches before at the group phase.

Croatia played better at 90 min., but at extra-time/overtime Danmark fighting better.
All in all, I am happy that anti-football from Danmark not win at the end.

I do not know why, but I feel that this cup of the world will win Croatia.
Or Croatia will be the first finalist.

Croatia's side of the draw is indeed very open. In a possible semifinal they'd meet Colombia/England/Sweden/Switzerland.
