When Germany, France and the UK started looking for a replacement for Russian gas, they rushed one after another to Qatar to negotiate new gas deals. It didn't work, and now Germany is calling for a boycott of the World Cup because of human rights violations? What has changed since then? shameless hypocrisy

So please, stop politics in Football, just enjoy the football and leave this stupid accusations away.
The protest movement makes sense, but then you need to treat all countries that violate human rights in the same way. You're not saint, so just stop.

I don't care about opinion on politics from Putin supporters. I am just complaining on the things I don't like about the World cup. The same way as I was complaining about South Africa WC and vuvuzelas for example.

About alcohol and religion u can't really do anything in a muslim country, so this complaint should be addressed to fifa, which chosen Qatar as WC host.

It was on Dutch tv a number of Dutch supporters are paid to come, in return they have to post positive text on social media and other places. In many countries this happened.

Hypocrite Gianni Infantino said the same thing, don't mix sport and politics, as an reaction to the critics because of the lack of freedom and rights in Qatar.
A reaction from Gianni Infantino a couple of days later when journalists asked 'dificult' questions;
"What we Europeans have been doing for the last 3,000 years, we should be apologizing for the next 3,000 years before starting to give moral lessons."
Yeh right, don't mix politics and sport...
This tu quoque is used when good arguments are gone, this is a sign of weakness.
And no, Qatar rulers can be judged without mentioning all other countries around the world. They have stepped into the spotlights themselves.

Well...we can talk about politics within sports all day, but from here on our small forum, we're not going to change anything about it. So, maybe... it's for the best if we leave that talk out of the game, as in ''don't mix sports and politics'', and try to keep this topic about the essence... football!
