Depends on the movie. I usually pay around 9-10 euro for a 2D-movie with student's ID.
At nearest cinema (2d only i think);
£6.5 (roughly 8.25 euro)
At Odeon (nationalised cinema), for adult;
2d = 6.80 (roughly 8.65 euro)
3d = 8.80 (roughly 11.20 euro)
ikr, expensive

taking into account the differences in salaries, it's kinda the same or even more expensive for us :)

minimal salary in Slovakia is 330(brutto) eur and average 750(brutto) eur, so cinema is expensive for lot of people....

We have Wednesdays where you can get 2 tickets for the price of 1 (called orange Wednesday) which makes the tickets about £4.50 each (although you need an even number of people). Of course if you are not on that phone network you are a bit stuffed but most people know at least 1 person on it.
just saw Expendables 2. great movie. really funny and of course great action. u should watch it.
