better rewatch the original recall ... Schwarzie and mutants, much better :)
2014-02-26 19:15:04
That's an understatement :D

I've seen both. The old one was often shown on Polish tv some years ago ;-)

Still, I liked the new one.

Watched the Cloud Atlas for 2nd time. Liked it more, but still I don't see this film as anything special, except for characterization and maybe effects...awesome 'background' work, but not an awesome movie.

in a way similar to Jarmusch's Limits of Control.

Cloud Atlas is special not for its special effects, nor for its actors games but for the moral behind the film.
For me it is the best movie of 2013, ahead Argo (which I appreciated).

2014-02-26 20:11:17
what is so special about the moral behind that film?
2014-02-26 20:41:28
this is not really special, I regained your term, but it is the largest independent film history and rather anti-system, that's special.
Hard to explain my thinking in English.

Movies are matter of taste - and people have different taste. I actually liked gravity a alot, 8/10 at least from me.
2014-02-27 21:09:55
sure it is,Elysium and Gravity is a bad taste of fantasy, for me,i prefer Oblivion
for that kind of movies
2014-02-27 21:41:02
I liked Elysium a bit more than Obvilion, havent seen Gravity.

Just also saw Elysium too... Quite common story but i liked the view of a possible close future. Excepted the way to recover instantly health i don't think so close to be realized, i think that we can easily see richest population build an Elysium to live... I only hope human kind will find the solution to explore the galaxy just after this future to let human live otherwise it is the end of humankind :-)

i think that we can easily see richest population build an Elysium to live...

Is already happening on earth ;) Just 1 example: Rich residents of small town seek to secede from poor predominantly black residential area

Machete Kills (2013) Crazy shit :P And part 2 is in development, Machete Kills Again... In Space!

Director: Robert Rodriguez
And a few of the cast: Danny Trejo, Mel Gibson, Amber Heard, Michelle Rodriguez, Charlie Sheen, Lady Gaga, Antonio Banderas, Cuba Gooding Jr, etc.

But I liked Machete (2010) more.

Same here.

Because 'Machete' is just a nice B movie which has nice situation humor and pun. And 'Machete kills' is a comedy. I really thought at the beginning of MK 'what the hell are they showing with the 'Machete kills again in Space' ... and really lolled at the end of the movie they made the circle complete.
