Spoilers for GOT s04e08. That's actually the 'curse' of the show compared to the books, that the actor's talents and charisma steals the character and make him look way cooler then in the books. Pedro Pascal made such a great Oberyn, you wish to see more of him..he was one of my favourites in the show but I really didn't care for him that much in the book..
G.R.R. Martin gets such a bad rep for killing all his main characters, but its way worse on the show, in fact in the books the only main POV characters he killed was Nedd and Catelyn. Robb actually was the only Stark outside Rickon (who is 4yo) who didn't even have POV chapters. All the other main characters are still alive..at least so far where the show is :-)

Let me try to omit spoilers: terrible, very disappointing final scene. Way below the average quality of the show. I remember Breaking Bad also having a similar scene, equally disappointing. Writers should know by now that this falls under the forbidden clichés category, together with the "shot sound, character with gun falls, actual shooter is standing behind him" kind of scenes :P

yup, I was hoping for a more interesting fight...

Well you can't please everyone. I liked it..as Bronn said, one mistake and you're dead and he did make a mistake..he was emotional and desperatedly wanted a confession, that was the reason he came to the King's Landing in the 1st place..

spoilers ahead

I think you can write many scenes with all the elements you describe. Star Wars is full of emotions interfering with fighting :P
But the actual scene they wrote? Hand on ankle, really? Are we supposed to fake surprise? What's next, Tywin carefully eplaining that the death sentence consists on a candlestick burning down, until setting a rope on fire, which will activate a mechanism to slowly pull Tyrion into a pit full of hungry crocodiles... all in a room full of tools, without guards, and a jackknife in his back pocket? :P

I think this show and even more books does a great job avoiding cliches..there is enough proof of that..I give them 1 in 4 seasons and Im pretty sure majority of people still didnt see that ending coming

Yeah, of course - in general it is great

although...the sudden plot twists in crucial moments...well it's becoming a 'typical GoT move'...:D

Well usually the shit hits the fan in episode 9 :-)
We'll see next week.

We should enjoy these last 2 episodes, lot of thinks will happen.
The book 3 ( where the show in general is now) is filled with shocking moments, Red and Purple Wedding etc. There is not that many major moments in book 4 so enjoy the fights, battles and deaths, we might not see that many of them next season..

actually, the 4`th season, the one that is broadcasted now, is the 4`th book, not the 3`rd...the 3`rd book was with the red wedding and everything..

In other news, I finally started watching The Office. Good stuff, I like this kind of humour.

As for the new tv series, I quite enjoyed Mixology. Nothing awesome, but very decent.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine = great.

Friends with better lives = boring.

Today I watched my first Doctor Who :P

Nope. It's actually mixed. They are changing the chronology. Red and Purple Wedding and Oberyn's fight all happened in 3rd book. There are still events from the 3 rd book that didn't happen on the show yet. Meanwhile they are speeding up and showing some events from book 5 already (Meereen, Theon etc).
The books 4 and 5 are actually devided geographically and happening at the same time, which is annoying because lots of characters were not in book 4, so I had to wait basically like 12 years between books 3 and 5 to read about some characters

I love the Office too, I've seen every episode..probably the funniest show to me.

Anybody watches Louie?
If you like weird absurd humour you might enjoy it

i thought the 4`th book was in 2 volumes, and this season was the first one, but apparently you`re right...i`ve read the books 2 years ago and i don`t remember this way
