She hates sci-fi, which is my favourite - so everything beside that.

I'm lucky my girlfriend does like Sci-Fi :)

Oh, sorry, wrong topic :P

But also with series you have Sci-Fi listed series which aren't really Sci-Fi, like Revolution.

i recommend Black Mirror.

There are 3 seasons, with 3 episodes in each. Very different from the usual TV series, but its a piece of art.

I can't believe there aren't any series in this list which are enough Sci-Fi for the one but not to much for the other one :D

There isn't many episodes but Sherlock TV series with Benedict Cumberbatch is well worth watching, as is Luther (both British TV series so not sure how well known internationally). Not overly similar to BB though. A slightly older series maybe worth looking into would be Alias. Walking Dead of current TV is also top stuff.

I myself only recently finished watching Breaking Bad. I actually thought it peaked at season 4. Better Call Saul is around the corner which hopefully will not disappoint.

Yes indeed, Luther is also very good.

Sherlock is one of the best tv series in last 3 years.

btw. anybody watched 'Diaries of a young doctor'? great one:)

I have seen about first 5-6 episodes of Sherlock. I liked it a lot, but for some reason I haven`t seen the newest ones. I watched Alias years ago...
Have seen first season of Walking dead, but I am not a huge fan.

Better call Saul is definitely on my watch list. Hopefully will be good.

I love 1984 Sherlock with Jeremy Brett the most. I haven't seen the new series yet. Is there too much "action" there? The last 2 Sherlock Holmes movies were too Hollywoodish for me: too much shooting, too little thinking.

hardly any action in the BBC series of Sherlock :)
and Cumberbatch kills it as in most of his roles :)

Give her a shot at 'Suits' otherwise. Some great acting/characters, it's funny, some backstabbing and plotting, ...
There's no action, mainly conversations, but still liking it a lot :)

Suits was awesome indeed but seems like its getting more and more of a soap opera. Too much side characters have been introduced to the show lately. Plus Rachel is hot but thats her only good part in this show and Jessica is just dreadful and not fitting in at all. Every scene with Jessica is a pain to watch. Donna is awsum. Louis is sometimes kinda out-of-real-life character too but at least he brings giggles.

Should be more Harvey-Mike kicking ass like in earlier days. Last episode was kinda like that again tho.

Overall awesome still.

A good series for a woman is Revenge. Even i as a man find it interesting. Its bit too much sometimes, but its a good TV show too.

If she likes a bit more action then Person of interest is also great.

And i bet she will like White Collar. Just dont tell her that the main actor is gay in real life ;-).

Whit Collar is indeed a lot of fun. Especially the first seasons:)

My brother is a big Suits fan. I just "bought" season 1 of Orphan Black. Will check it out in the eveining. And I randomly found Grimm, which I might like and also The After, which I am "buying" as we speak. The After has only one episode, but season one will take place in 2015.

the synopsis of Grimm just reads like Supernatural :P
