This season is one big dissapointment.
Actually the whole show after season 3 went downhill. Too many plots, too many characters, not enough minutes. The end result is that we see some vital characters for 30 minutes during whole season and everything seems simplified.
Also, there was no 'oh no they didn't' moment in this season...everything went predictably...for a moment I hoped that Snow will die during the battle, under the feet of his own soldiers, that would've been cool. But of course, cavalry arrived and saved the day, who would've guessed that XD

I actually like that there are too many characters and many plots as you said. It makes the show and the world of GoT even bigger. Yes, the shows tempo might be quite slow because of that and probably it goes on for antother 20 seasons:)
I hope that in season finale cerceis guard (no name mentioned in the show, but I guess he is the "Mountain"!?) rips High Sparrow into pieces:)

The problem is, they said it won't (two more shorter seasons left), so I fear it will all boil down to rushed closures. To some extent, it is already happening (the whole Mereen part went from extra-slow, meaningless minutes to quick resolution in episode 9).
I also don't like that the show has gradually become more "fantasy super-hero" and less "medieval Dune".
Anyway, we'll see.

Only 2 seasons left? Lol, I wonder how they're going to end all the plot holes. Probably everyone will meet everyone very soon. Booby Queen will ride the dragon, the north will unite with south to fight her and then everyone will fight the white walkers in an epic ending battle

Don't take my word for it, as I don't pay much attention to news about shows, only the shows themselves. But I believe I read 8 seasons max in an article about the show catching up with the books and leaving them behind, the point being that he has max 2 years to publish things before the show spoils them.

Last episode this season of GoT was pretty awesome tough... Cersei's move was pretty what the fuck :D
