Subject: Bot Tactics For Bot Teams

Why not?
Someone suggested this before. We need to accelerate bot teams falling down the leagues so there's more space for newer users.
As of today there's a 60+ rating bot team stuck in our 2nd division and he's going to be there a long time, taking up a space that could benefit someone actually playing the game. Even when he eventually ends up in the bottom 6, he's going to be ruining the promotion playoff for whoever is unlucky enough to draw him.
There's no good reason to protect these teams.

Imp, the season a team becomes bot, they should remain their players, tactics etc... so they are fairly competing for all league contestants. However...after the season, they should become standard bots, but imo, each division should have their own standards for bot teams.
My proposition...
1st division... 55 rating
2nd division... 45 rating
3th division... 35 rating
4th division... 25 rating
5th and 6th division... 20 rating.
Only when those bot teams relegate, they should decrease in rating. If you cannot play a bot team out of it's division with a play off game, you're, in these cases, not ready to take its place.

Who is that benefitting? You're simply punishing new users for being new by saying "You can't beat a 15 year old club. Tough"
Remember that bots are not receiving training so they lose skills faster and will deteriorate fast plus they can't change tactics / carded or injured players.
If someone is playing actively then beating a 60 rating bot should not be a challenge after some time... and definitely not if you're playing since a couple of years.
I assume you're talking about Aubergine FC. Last league game of this team:
Aubergine FC - Szőlősgyörök SC 3:2
18 Shots 8
61.2 Average rating 60.6
The problem here is that Szolosgyorok, a team from 2010, after over 14 years of playing the game is still using basic tactics. He is literally using the "523" standard tactic because he doesn't know how to use the tactic editor.
So if after 14 years of playing you're playing for 60, using the basic tactic and can't beat a bot then I don't really think that "bot strength" is really the problem here.
Same goes for Maidenhead United from this league, also using standard tactic "343" but that's a new users from last year...

No, the problem is here is that a 40 rated team in Division 3 is going to be stuck in 3, unable to progress or invest because there's a 60 rated roadblock in their way. Not to mention the team in 2 that will get relegated because of Aubergine.
Once again I'm getting angry because the older users in this game complain about everything but reject every solution, without offering any of their own. No wonder this game is dying.

The problem is that if that team did not go bot, then that team would be even stronger and able to change tactics, players, train etc.
So by getting boted the situation of the team from Division 3 ALREADY improved because they have a higher chance of moving up. Same with all teams in Div 2.
At the same time you can argue that moving the Div 3 team up in place of the bot would be BAD for the other 11/12 teams in league, because they will suddenly get an opponent that:
a. is not rating-ready for the league and is no challenge + can injure their players due to low def skill
b. has much lower fan club, which will impact other teams income (both sponsors and tickets)
c. if the team is not ready to beat a bot "fairly" then that team will be beaten up every week by normal users - so is that really the best scenario for a small/new team?

And as for this part: "problem is here is that a 40 rated team in Division 3 is going to be stuck in 3, unable to progress or invest"
While playing in Div 3 you can easily concentrate on investing in youngsters and training, that should be the main goal for a couple of seasons - buying 16-17yo players, improving them and making profit so you can progress, you can invest more and can deal with 60 rating bots.
I know that some users prefer to "go for it" and just spend all the sponsors/tickets money on first team but that's just not how this game works... you can't spend 5k euro for a 19yo trainee and expect to get anywhere, training is the most important thing in this game.
This is how your last stay in 3rd league looked like:
1. The Black Mages 22 22 0 0 241-3 66
That's a training league level, where you should be making lots of money on 16-17yo players, not improving the rating with 28+ old players. Buying old players won't make you ready to compete in Div 2, training in Div 3 will eventually make you ready to compete in Div 2.
Instead of investing into young players, that's how your young players look like:
One 19yo - bought for 2 500 euro
The rest is 21yo-25yo and with low value. Honestly you should sell them, buy 16-17 yo's and play 6 oldies + 5 youngsters in every game so you win and train at the same time...
And if you don't like "training for money" - that's NOT a problem. Buy ten decent (as good as you can afford) 16yo players, 5 DEF, 3 MID, 2 ATT - and then train them for a couple of seasons. You will end up with a much better and much more valuable team than with current approach + you can have fun watching your team improve "from zero" to a very decent level. I would do that:)

Just to show you what you can get from a fairly average player. Here is my youth, that's how he looked like when 18yo.
[6] stamina
[9] pace [1] def
[8] technique [6] playmaker
[4] passing [5] striker
Last season there were players like him going for 50-100k euro. That's how he looks like now, after 7 seasons of training:
Ignacy Murawa, age: 25
club: The Evil`s, country: Polska
value : 7 374 000 zł
wage: 117 400 zł
unearthly [16] form
brilliant [14] tactical discipline
height: 180 cm, weight: 67.4 kg, BMI: 20.8
formidable [11] stamina unsatisfactory [2] keeper
divine [17] pace good [7] defender
unearthly [16] technique excellent [10] playmaker
very good [9] passing brilliant [14] striker
Pace improved by 8 skills, technique by 8 skills, striker by 9 skills.
And he is close to [18] in pace. That's what you can get out of every training spot in a couple of seasons, and you have 10 training spots. You just have to invest a little and you can create by training a team that will be good enough for Division 1, not Div 2. He's worth 10m euro+ and obviously can play at very decent level. Should reach superdivine [18] pace, divine [17] tech and divine [17] striker, hard to say if he can get higher.

Who is that benefitting? You're simply punishing new users for being new by saying "You can't beat a 15 year old club. Tough"
First of all... new teams shouldn't be able to beat 15 year old clubs... I mean...let's be realistic...
Second point.
I clearly said, bot teams should keep their players and tactics for the remainder of the season. AFTER that season, they should turn into a default bot, depending on the division the bot is playing...
I'm nt punishing anyone with this. The sole reason I want a team to keep their players for the remainder of the season is to prevent ''cheating''. Say, the team goes bot in round 9, then immediately turns a 20 rating bot...teams who play against that bot, can easily win, train their trainees and spare their bigger players for the other match in that week, while the contestants of that team in round 7 and 8 were facing a much stronger team...
Point 3: Don't forget, a standard bot team has a very low supporter base, so the revenue and sponsorship will go down as well. So, turning that team immediately into a standard bot will in th end give much more disadvantages over advantages....especially for new teams!

Possibly it would be a good idea (and easier to implement than creating an xx rating bot team, too complicated for these owners to consider) to just move a bot team after the season automatically down although it would be pretty stupid at times (a bot team winning the league and then going to lower division while 2nd team goes up etc.).
Another possibility would be to "reset" only the bots players to a low level [30-40 rating] - but in a way that would give an unfair advantage to any league that gets a bot (easy to train against, possibility to get lots of ranking points & improve supporters mood while still getting high tickets and sponsors due to the bot still having high fan club and so on).
