What's the point in paying say 20 times what a player is worth & then having to train him for about 6 seasons before he is good enough to add anything to your first team. You need the patience of a saint to be bothered with that. I'd rather pay a more reasonable price for a slightly older player. And like you say if you are bidding crazy prices without some sort of proof you are crazy. Buy a lottery ticket instead.
