< Bad day for the GK >

We are after another match in the World Cup qualifiers. Unfortunately, we failed in the rematch with Switzerland. I was aware that the opponent was much stronger - but there was a great desire to surprise and make some kind of surprise.
We entered the match with several deficiencies - first, one of the best midfielders, Ewan Milligan, could not play. Ewan could only play if he was in really high form - he would play as an attacker or a substitute for MacRaith.
Second, injuries ruled out strikers Dempsie and Kean. It's a shame, because there was a tactic prepared that took Dempsie's skills into account. Kean's absence also proved crucial because there was no one to replace MacLeister, who suffered a slight injury while still in the first half.

Worst of all, however, were the lost goals. MacVanish apparently had a poor day because he let go of a goal from about 30m and then released a pass and the ball fell under the striker's feet. This second lost goal upset me a lot because at that time the score was still giving a lot of hope. Despite the fact that the goalkeeper did really well in several situations, he lost a lot in my eyes.

The goal for the rest of the qualifiers is as follows: victories against Korea, Canada, Singapore and a match against Poland (surprise of course although these are dreams hard to fulfill). However, 3rd place in the table we must have. I hope Canada will not surprise anyone again....

< Calm victory against Korea >

The rematch with Korea was a highly anticipated match. I checked the lineup setting several times so as not to score a slip-up similar to the one in the first match. Here, fortunately, everything worked out.
We dominated the entire match, only a huge inefficiency and luck saved the opponents from losing goals in the first half. In the second half MacLeister (who had not played since the beginning of the match due to his form) entered and the offensive game changed even more. 2 goals by our striker plus one hit by Lewis gave us the victory. I regret that we didn't win higher because I was hoping for more goals and at least equalizing the goal balance already in the match against Korea. It's hard, I have to get used to the fact that our strikers don't have such skills to be calm on the offensive.

< Tour of Singapore >

Nice team-building trip to singapore. In addition to sightseeing and learning about the culture of this beautiful country, we also talked about soccer. It will be interesting to see if the relaxed atmosphere of the talks will have a positive effect on our players before the matches against Poland (an extremely difficult challenge) as well as Canada (the desire to get a rematch for the unfair draw and overtake the Canadians in the table is huge).

< Not a bad match >

I spent a little time preparing for this match. As I announced at the beginning of my work, I will not brick the goal in competition with stronger opponents. However, in every such match I will try to make a surprise. And that's also how I approached this match. Surprisingly, the match was quite good in our performance. We lost 0:1 (after penalty) but looking at the potential of both teams I think the result is not bad. Apart from the result itself, the game was quite good, the prepared tactics caused some problems for the opponent and with a bit of luck it was possible to make a surprise. I am full of optimism after this match and hope that minor adjustments in tactics will bring even better results.
Of course, there were also a lot of mistakes, which were mainly due to deficiencies in individual skills. The other things that I think should be improved I will already try with the players who will play next season..

< Frustration >

After a good match against Poland, expectations for this match were high. I hoped that we would get revenge for the hurtful draw from the first round, win with 3-4 to zero and take the 3rd place in the group. And what happened is the same as in the first duel. A draw where our advantage was sizable. Admittedly, the Canadians created very threatening situations. In fact, they were created by one striker, who passed our mids and defs, took the balls away from them and did what he wanted.... It surprised me a lot because he played as if he was 3x superdivine and in defie min unearthly.
Instead, our players were disappointed - our fastest player moved around the field as if he had shoes made of concrete. Another player - high technique and passing and he played as if his skille was good level.

I can not explain this match, I am mega disappointed with it. Let's hope this is the end of such unpleasant surprises
