and you're right, he doesn't have to do it. Nobody puts a gun to his head and orders it. We have democracy, he wants it himself :) we have free choice.
I know he's popular. he's active and it's good for fame. I also understand that he is liked, I also liked him in the past :) and he is German, solidarity is an important feature;)
