Review against Ecuador

Easilly the most undeserved draw of my sokker life. We should have lost 2:8 at least..Maluleke saved the day..
Even if my opponent would play 1000 times with the same tactic, he will change it against me EVERY SINGLE TIME. I give up preparing for matches, it's worthless, I have no luck with this..
Obviously I expected 1 striker and they went with 2, leaving Zulu defending their striker, I think all our defenders lost about 80% of those match ups..the whole match the Ecuador strikers were easilly dribbling through our defense...next match I'm going with my U21 boys Cole, Nagoli and co..I'm done with those old guys..
We played decently in field and made some noce combinations, but our strikers were covered with 5 defs and had no space for through balls. Overall terrible tactic choice against our opponents tactic, but again I expected different one.
Next match we will miss Rapelego and mainly one of our 2 best players Rhode which will be huge problem..

Wow that looked like we were playing Poland at times, we had absolutely no chance. Malta's strikers dribbled through our defenders about 1000 times while on the other hand our strikers lost every single time

Very dissapointing result and performance, but I really don't know what should I do differently..I welcome you ideas..

Another striker injured, which leaves us very little options against Danmark..

well, honestly I wouldn't have positioned the defender much differently. There are just games like this one...maybe one thing I noticed:

we were missing mids to whom our defenders could pass the ball. our mids
a) pulled all (too) much back
b) were positioned right next to a (better) opponent mid.
that's a main reason we got under so much pressure I think. we never could get the ball out of the danger zone without that it came rigt back afer our mids/atts lost it again.

yeah true..im going to change the defense and mids a lot against Danmark..we have nothing to loose anyway..

true indeed.

i know it's always hard to find the free spots in midfield, especially if the opponent switches tactics (which everyone does before playing you ;-p)

They don't change them, if i don't prepare for them:-)
Our mids are fairly strong on their own, they shouldnt be outplayed like that..for next match we will welcome back Rhode so we should be even stronger..the problem is defense and attack..

hmm 24 shots, 5 goals..that's terrible..don't know really what to do with our defense..I'm probably forced to play 5 defs all the time which I didn't want to do..but it really seems we can't stop anybody..

Well, good effort anyway mate!
