Subject: U21 -- INTER (Season 70)

Hi All,
Just a check in and a little bit of info for everyone.

On a positive, We have bagged our first win in well over a season! albeit a friendly.. but against a nation ranked 9 spots above us and ive been scouting South Africa and tinkering to try and get a squad and formation to work for this season and to give minutes to the younger players. (Even using wingers which i rarely use).

Midfielders remains a weak point, as ever with smaller nations there is deficiencies and ours is central midfield but Stanley Sikhwvihilu looks a really good prospect moving forward.

The draw for the U21 African Cup of Nations has also come out and we were in pot 3, giving us a group of Senegal,Nigeria,Morocco and although it will be tough im quietly confident of a good showing.

Yes thats the main area to improve at the moment, you always seem to get one in slightly smaller nations and U21 especially (and always the best players as goalkeepers!) but ive tried to compensate with some formations etc.. Still fairly new around so trying to soak up as much knowledge as i can and hope the time put into the game/nation pays off with competitive friendlies in the run up to the African Cup of Nations.

Appreciate the updates on the other forum post of new pulls, makes scouting easier and as one of the main producers for the National Team its our best source of new players. Thanks for the support, and as always any ideas or suggestions are always welcome i am only a SK Mail away :)

Another decent win on the board as we beat Guatemala (Rank 76) 5-2 who are 10 places above us, as we look towards the U21 AFCON and test out some new tactics and players. I see we have had a couple of new players added to South Africa so if you need any help/have questions please message me. Appreciate the support from everyone, and i think we're slowly heading in the right direction :)

Ive had fun managing the U21's this season and had an expected but slightly disappointing 3rd place finish in the AFCON group. No doubt next season is going to be really tough as most of our better players will now be 22 yrs old but i would love to continue in charge of the U21's and hope to bring on the nation, so would love your votes once again https://sokker.org/election/pollID/34560
