Subject: NT U21 - Genesis

Hi guys, so I've gone through all U21 players that exist in Austria and to my disbelief, we have a lack of midfielders and defenders (I was shocked when previous manager played 4-2-4 formation, but this explains it haha). I've already picked some players that are sure to play this season and here are some players that are considered for national team right now:

Eugen Wiese ; Adi Buchwald ; Sascha Beerenberg ; Wastel Fatsch ; Barthel Heider ; Kuno Profi ; Albrecht Kaser ; Kurt Wondrak ; Trudbert Roos ; Napoleon Zallinger

Check your players and if you think that some of them could be in national team and are not, please do let me know.

U19 - Jäger and Schaumberger from my crew are being trained for Midfield. As usually - happy to take on a promising player for MID.

Hello guys, so the first match this season is completed and I believe the result is more than satisfactory. Tying against Poland which is currently 1st in National rankings is pretty good, though I believe some changes could have been made to potentially win as well. The current goal is to get to know our players better and prepare for World Cup which is our top priority.

Nice to see 5 of my players on the field, for a total of 315 minutes. Ganz even forced the Polish GK to make a heroic save just before the end.

Hi guys, first match of the World Cup U21 is completed [stop reading here, if you want to check the demo of the match yourself and don't want to know what the result was] and the result is quite good I'd say. I've created a tactic that was supposed to counter Chile and I believe I did just that. In the studio, many predicted a loss / tie for Austria, but this result prove them wrong. We're far from done here, as this was only the first match and we are yet to face even stronger opponents. I suggest watching the demo yourself and maybe pinpoint some mistakes in my tactic so that we can advance into further stages of the cup.

Hallo Leute, das erste Spiel der U21-Weltmeisterschaft ist beendet [hört hier auf zu lesen, wenn ihr euch die Demo des Spiels selbst ansehen wollt und nicht wissen wollt, wie es ausgegangen ist] und das Ergebnis ist ziemlich gut, würde ich sagen. Ich habe eine Taktik entwickelt, die Chile kontern sollte, und ich glaube, das ist mir auch gelungen. Im Studio haben viele eine Niederlage oder ein Unentschieden für Österreich vorausgesagt, aber dieses Ergebnis beweist, dass sie falsch lagen. Wir sind noch lange nicht fertig, denn das war nur das erste Spiel, und wir werden noch auf stärkere Gegner treffen. Ich schlage vor, dass ihr euch die Demo selbst anseht und vielleicht ein paar Fehler in meiner Taktik findet, damit wir in die weiteren Phasen des Cups vorstoßen können.

close one. much closer than the result suggests.

there's something wrong with your throw-in tactics. every single throw-in deep in the opponent's half was lost, turning a promising attack into an immediate counter.

are you sure we don't have any better midfielders than those?

ganz is fast and can get you a ball, but his passing (and tech) needs much improvement. working on those, one training at a time.

why did wenger play the whole match at average stamina? if you have nothing better to do, swap him for zallinger some time in the 2nd half. he's quite similar (bit less def, more tech) and at that point in time not completely exhausted. don't worry, you get to keep both in the team for next season, hopefully more skilled.

if you need more midfielders you can also put funken on def mid and replace him with a more conventional def.

The throw-in problems were more about the inability of attackers to hold the ball than about the tactics being bad, I will try to come up with something different though. I don't agree about the match being close though - we had way more chances and goal-promising at that. The goalkeepers were where the difference was made. The midfielders did their job quite well, creating plenty of opportunities for our attackers - as seen by our chances.

About Wenger - I created a substitution for Zallinger in the 45th minute, but the condition was not met, so Wenger remained on the pitch for the rest of the game - which proved to be beneficial for us as he created some good chances as well. The stamina isn't much of a dealbreaker when it comes to this tactic.

Funken is a key man in our defense, I'd rather play 4-2-4 again than letting him waste his potential in midfield.

Today's match was a failure - but an expected one. Bulgarian coach is old news when it comes to the position, so he knows his players well and he caught me off guard with his off-side traps and counter-attacks. Our players played poorly and on top of that, our star player Maurerbauer got injured yesterday, but I do take the responsibility for the result, as the tactics could be more defensive when facing such opponent. Nevertheless, the current objective will be to either win or tie against Cuba (depending on their result today).

Not much you can do I'm afraid. Lack of skills was evident. Our defenders fail to deal with their attacker from the front, their defenders tackle our attacker from behind. Their midfielders quickly pass on the ball, while our Söllinger seems to lack the playmaker skill to decide what to do before the ball is gone.

Wenger into the defensive line - are you sure that was a good idea (and not a mistaken substitution)? At excellent/formidable he's not much help there.

I'm afraid not, if I could, I would show you our squad - we have no defenders and midfielders, so him being in defense is pretty logical, only other option would be Heubacher, but his defender is the same (11) and his technique is only 4 (as could be seen by his own goal haha)

Deiss is your best defeder.My opinion is to put him at 3 or 4 position.Anyway the decision is yours.You have one more game and i wish you good luck

So we are... in the knockout stage? Nailbiter vs Cuba, could have gone either way - 4:2 in our favor in the end.

Nice to see my Wenger give his 1st assist for the U21. I'd still swap him for Zallinger (or someone else in your rooster) for the last 20 minutes or so if you have nothing better to do.
