Česká republika vs Crna Gora

Expectations: This match is expected by supporters to be a tough and even game, with slight advantage to opponent team.



Česká republika - ranked 13th in the NT Rankings. A former World Cup winner. Won its qualifying group with 24 points, having a better goal difference than Venezuela.
They lost their first two matches against Venezuela (2-0) and Israel (4-0). Afterwards they won the remaining 8 games and they qualified to the World Cup.

Ceska republika vs Crna Gora 5-0

There are not many words to say here. I thought of a counter-attack tactic with a 5311 system, but it backfired. Even though we played low def we were outrun by the opponents strikers which possessed better secondary skills.

A tactic with two strikers would have fitted better, even though Simic is out of form, he is still our best striker. I have done a bad option unfortunately and the strict score is my fault.
I do hope the next game against Hrvatska will show a much better face of our players.

ceska is way better squad.. you can see the wrong side of that and make better choice next game.. risk didnt work well but we have nothing to lose with ceska :)

low def line against high opp atts was bad choice they cant be in off trap ususally.. only 3 in that game..

Unfortunately it backfired, but from mistakes we learn or at least we try.
The chances are still there, I will concentrate on the next game.

Matchday II

Hrvastka vs Crna Gora 3-2

A much better game, but not enough. We played equal to equal against Hrvatska, but we lost in the end.
Matosic gave use hope with each time he equaled the score. The last game against Cuba is all in for a win and for finishing this campaign with a win.

better game but still not enough to make surprise and win against also better squad. :) dont give up

If maybe we would have not started with a 0-1 in the first minute from a lucky shoot, maybe the final score would have been different.
Nevertheless, we managed to equalize two times. Missing the two in form strikers from last season is quite visible, as well two old defenders have lost skills, so the game plan has changed a little. But, we go on with the players we have, can not complain.

Good win 1:0..cuba also have bigger rating..

Usually if you start a campaign with a win you have 50% chances to go through.
The games were played against top opponents, I am angry for the first game. The 2nd and 3rd game were played with more balance into the game, the difference between us and the rival was insignificant.

Yes. A point or points could have come in the Croatia match. Even though the difference in power was large, the game against Croatia was good.

We could have done a good game against Czechia with a good tactic. The difference between teams is bigger in skills, but a good tactic can balance the forces.
But, the engine has its own path as well :))

What is next for us?

Two interesting friendlies against Portugal and Mexico, then we will play into the Euro Championship against the best European teams.

A very tough season with games against strong teams.
