Subject: where am i going wrong

today i beat the favourite and league leaders giving me 4 points from 6 against them

i also got 4 points from the next best team in the league (who move to top after i beat the league leaders)

yet i failed to beat bots 3 times out of the 4 games i have played against them this season

is it just that i have been unlucky against the bots or lucky against the better teams or am i missing something?

Striker not taking enough of his chances.

Invest in a better one, or tain him up.

It's a bit of both I believe.

You're defensive line relies very much on the ability of your sweeper and a better striker would finish more of his chances.

not sure about the striker problem

they are poor but for standard of my league they should be good enough

they have done well enough against other human teams

its just the bots i have draw 3 times against the 2 bots this year if i had won them games i would of won the league

no one else in the league seems to have much of a problem against the bots

with one of them only getting points off me and the team with no players

and the other team getting points off the otehr bot and the otehr team with no players 2 draws with me and a draw via one of the other human teams

so the bots stop me getting 6 pts but only stopped the other human sides getting 2pts between them

just hopes its a blip and that next season i can beat the bots otherwise there must be a flaw in my tactics against bots

It's either your tactics or your players or both.

As I'm not supporter though I cannot look at your games.

Just stick to training your players efficiently and I'm sure it will all come together :)

the two games that i looked at, 15 shots - 0 goals, 17 shots , 1 goal suggests to me that better strikers may be required.

you shouldn't be comparing your striker ratings against your league rivals. The most important thing to consider is how your strikers actually play, and that means the skills they have.

just going with a good or solid striker will still mean that its more down to luck than skill when your strikers score.

The higher their striking, the more your fate is in your own hands, and having the better team and tactics will be rewarded as you score the chances you should score.

for a newbie what level of strikers should i be look for without busting the bank

i have 100k to cover me over the close season so if buying new players it has to come out of that money my season tickets and what little i can get for selling the above

also i knon conway needs tech and biondi needs playmaking but they are getting plenty of shots in so striking would be more important in getting goals than tech and playmaking

When you copy and paste a player, go to players, then click on your player then copy and paste it, the format is easier to read. eg.

This guy's non existant tech makes him completely worthless, and I would sack him or sell him.

Tech helps players pass defenders as well as control shots and passing.

Low tech means rubbish shooting / passing.....

You'd be better off just playing with the 1 striker imo, than playing this guy up front.

How much are you losing at each economy update?

Can you afford to buy in a player?

What are you training?

And how long are you training stats for?

I normally train 1 stat for at least a full season before switching, choppig and changing doesn't get you anywhere unless you have amazing players / trainees already.

You should at least get your money back on the TL, but wait until everyone has their st money paid...more buyers :)

There's this guy on the TL just now, expires in 15 mins or so, he's not great but it would interesting to see his finishing price to see what kind of player you can afford to bring in..

Finally, dont worry about pm on your strikers it's not important, just striker pace and tech, maybe a bit of defence helps, but not crucial. (and stamina obviously)
