training juniors:
junior .................skill level ........weeks
Michael McBain ... average .......... 32

the weeks under the junior section means the junior will be training in your junior academy for 32 weeks before u can promote him to your team and find out what skills he's got and how old he is...

TRAINING
these juniors in the academy get training from the youth coach. so the better the general skill of the youth coach (individual skills of the youth coach dont matter) the faster the juniors get trained. it is also dependant on talent on the players. really talented juniors pop ever 4 weeks or so, untalented pop up to every 12 weeks...

juniors receive training every thursday. u will notice the number of weeks reduce (ie the 32 will become a 31), and the skill may increase.

NEW ARRIVALS
every saturday between 1 and 6 new juniors arrive in your junior school. but for this to happen there must be enough spaces kept available for them. so always leave up to 6 spaces free in the school if u want the chance to receive the full contingent that week.
(hint in the box that says Change the number of places: you must enter the new total number of places, not the number you wish to change by)

The max number of places available in the school is 30.

Tips:
1:
you should probably aim to have a youth coach of skill about very good to formidable when you start. i started with an excellent youth coach, and quickly upgraded to a formid. only just got myself a brilliant youth coach last season after playing a long time.

2:
only keep juniors that will be at least solid when promoted. any less and they won't be able to sell, let alone make a profit. so keep juniors that are weak or better when they arrive (only keep the weaks if they will have many weeks in the academy).
study how long juniors take to pop. u should probably get rid of any ultra untalented juniors (poping ever 8 weeks or more).

Have you noticed much difference with the brill compared to what you had before?

I've stumbled across a magical coach, 27,555 wages while coach hunting. Rather than do the sane thing and immediately sack the leech I'm having delusions of sticking him on the youth squad. :o

I blame gibbage.

the average popping rate seems to have improved by about half a week to a week between pops, compared to my formid youth coach.

so guys that were popping sometimes in 4 sometimes in 5 would regularly pop in 4.
yeh, its not quite a 1 week improvement, but more than 0.5

I decided to sign the magical coach and assign him to the juniors.

Its been a week of excess which began with spending a little *cough* more than I probably should on some 19yo yank prospect, so why stop now. :P

Whether he'll add enough value to youths to make him worthwhile is questionable but I must be due another wonder kid in my squad sometime soon....

ouch! 1.8M

and he only gets 31 od ratings :P

my Tennis Lover got over 40% in his debut and he cost a tad over 1M (and he was 18) :P

na, but seriously, good luck training him, hope he avoids the nasty tackles

But it would be a pie! Everyone likes pie, almost regardless of what's in it!

When one says that he doesn't like onions, that doesn't mean that he doesn't eat them as a meal, it means that he does not eat them at all, even if it's an ingredient of sth ^^
